Another gem

Reminds me of hearing this at my brother's wedding do:

I am not keen on that version. I prefer the original without Ofra Hazah(sp?) - the guitar is less produced and it seems more venemous. Always reminds me of saturday nights at the Phono in Leeds during the 80s where they would often finish the night with this, Liberator by Spear of Destiny and Vengeance by New Model Army - heady days.

Bruce Springsteen - Born To Run. Another £2 bargain vinyl from mine and Ullmans favourite 2nd hand shop. I prefer Springsteens earlier stuff before his huge commercial hits.

Easily one of my favourite albums. Not a bad moment on the whole album. Songs like Thunder Road, She's the One and Jungleland, just a different class to most other singer songwriters.

Agree, lyrically possibly his best work. Thunder Road being my particular favourite.

Oh yes, where else can you pick up a Cannibal Corpse and a Fisker Thomas album at the same time?

Had a little trip down memory lane last night. John Cale "Paris 1919". Some great tracks on that album.

Black Sabbath.. Born Again ( this is weird, Sabbath meets Purple)

I think it's a pretty good album - Disturbing the Priest has one of the worst lyrics ever though:

We're disturbing the priest, won't you please come to our feast

Do we mind disturbing the priest, not at all, not at all, not in the least

Do we mind disturbing the priest

not at all, not at all, not in the least
