Tonights game

I don't get to many games any more due to variety of reasons, but after witnessing such a dominant display as that tonight I am sure I will be foresaking other pleasures to make sure I get down more often!!

I often read on here that everytime The Rovers attract a larger than normal crowd, the 'casual' supporters see the worst display of the season and don't come back. Well take it from one self confessed part time fan, I for one will certainly be visiting more often to watch displays like that!

Although the attacking display was superb at times despite the slippery conditions, I was very very impressed with the awesome defensive display. and I thought the attitude of all the players was clear from the start... They did not want Fax to score full stop and it was this attitude that wore them down and led to Rovers running away with it in the 2nd half as Fax just kept hitting a brick wall!! (I almost felt sorry for them...... almost lol!!)

You will go a long way to see a more complete performance than tonights!!

Very impressed with us tonight, good going forward despite the opposition standing in our line at the play the ball, excellent in defence and overall the result we totally deserved.

Every team we've beat so far this season have put it down to them playing poor and that's why we beat them lol

Could it be that we are awesome and make other teams look poor?!?!

we were the poodles swingers again! We bombed as many tries as we scored!! The buzz feels fantastic. Being a rovers fan it's scarey to think this way cos good things don't happen to Fev too oft!

The BoD have got a cracking coaching team who have slotted the jig saw pieces together to make a mean unit.

So, in 160 mins of rugby, the sum total of points both last years finalists could muster past together us is -10 points!!!! What a difference our defence is this year. AWESOME lads!

I hope ,like all you regulars do, that other old timers like me start coming back again!! I know a lot of my mates who were regulars with me in the 80's & 90's will come down again when I wax lyrical about tonight and I will be doing my best to help swell the numbers.

I have watched the Rovers for nearly 40 years (Me dad used to carry me on his shoulders when you could get away with climbing over the turnstyles in the early 70's!!)and I saw something tonight that reminded me of previous era's when nobody liked playing us beacuse of the tremendous team spirit and never say die attitude.

The reaction of the players patting each other on the back when they were forcing errors with their superb tackling in the last 10 minutes with the game already in the bag almost brought a tear to my eye!!

classic to come out with when uve had 40 odd stuffed up you, theres a buzz around the place from the pubs round the ground before and after the game and good atmosphere at the game, keep it up rovers.

Is Darryl Powell giving us( the fans), the Featherstone Rovers we have all been dreaming about .Tonights effort was the best all round performance i have seen in a long time. What a TEAM, thats the big difference this year where a team, we attack as a team, and defend as one, no slackers.

I would have payed double for the atmoshpere and entertainment that was served up tonight.

Halifax were beaten after 40 mins when they failed to register a point going downhill and were definately beaten 4 mins after later h/t when stuey went in

They have problems but by their standards that was a woeful effort for their travelling support to watch

However lets not deter from our performance!

The second half was irresistable! We looked like breaking through every attack we were on. The pack were immense again, how quick were stuey and mozzer for their tries!!

After a lengthy lay off spears just slotted straight in without any bother

We are looking good all over the pitch, Bring on Sheff at Bramall lane!

as good as fev were, halifax were very poor. and a few of our mistakes we're not punished tonight, thats all i meant

Dont want to take anything away from FEV you were good tonight.

but look at Fax's last few games;

40pts past us by HUNSLET (h)

50pts past us by Leigh (h)

The scoreline today was only to be expected (I expected worse).

We can't buy a win at the moment just hope things get sorted sooner rather than later.

Anyway would rather have Rowvers at top of league than Widnes.

this kits clashed to much tonight i could not tell the difference between any player tonight once they got a bit muddy.

I also think brighter flood lights are needed.
