As Cas see Wigan as all high n mighty they may well see this grubby cash grab as something any socialist would applaud?

Wiganers still upset by Daryl not texting Shaun to tell him how great Wigan are ?  ?

Take ANY other job with a salary over 50k and would he still be employed?

Would you want a Doctor, an airline pilot, (even  a policeman or nurse (earning a lot less)) with his list of issues to be still in their job?

Those jobs you listed are ones with a duty of care to the public. If they don't do their job properly (say as a result of being on drugs) peoples lives are at risk, and even then, they're not always sacked. Terrible comparison.

Different jobs come with different standards and it's not universal. For example, a friend of a friend was given a verbal warning because he was caught injecting steroids in his office. A sportsman would be banned from the sport.

Yes, of course, and nothing to do with the fact that Wigan have money.

Speculative, vindictive and not at all surprising. It's also far from teh slam-dunk that some people on here are predicting. Good luck Cas.

Wigan should rescind the contract offer now, and rectify their mistake in offering it in the first place.

Why? What have Wigan done to recind anything? They have not tapped anyone up. What has Hardaker done wrong in signing wigan, given he was sacked by Cas. If they wanted to sue then they should have kept him on contract. And at the final analysis Zac took a recreational drug which harmed no one except himself and was not performance enhancing.

I really don’t see how any legal action is any of Wigan’s concern. The contract was between Castleford & Hardaker. As soon as Cas “sacked” him I’m sure they didn’t expect him not to sign with anyone.

Regardless of whether he signed for Wigan or anybody else I’d imagine the legal procedings would have been taken anyway?

Yes that that is about the most sensible post on here.

Apart from the fact it is about Wigan, because it's always about Wigan. You should know better.??

No more Wigan's concern than the concern of anyone on here, either. Hasn't stopped anyone commenting though. Has the Wigan club actually commented?

What has Wigan done that is wrong. A recreational drug out of competition gave Barba a modest ban thanks to the WADA. Are Saints fans beating their brains out over that?

Let miserable Cas hang Hardaker out to dry if they want, and three cheers for all the saddos who want to.

I agree with what you say about Cas and I do agree with clubs taking action over players who behave badly but I still think it's important to the case that they had sacked him before offering him the job.

Take just any old job - a shop supervisor say. They get done for doing drugs and so the company sack them. A little while later they invite them back to the job but on minimum wage. The person turns it down and the company sue the worker. Don't you think the sacking then attempted rehiring of the worker makes their defence a little weaker than had they sacked and pursued? It implies they wanted the worker back and have only opened up litigation because of it. I'm sure a defendant barrister could make the argument that the company sacked and then rehired to use the workers perilous position to essentially get the same service for less work. Lawyers have argued much worse.

It's important that Cas set their sights realistically so as to not open themselves up to those kinds of accusations which believe me, the legal system is not above doing. In my line of work you have to consider that at all times, you can come out of litigation the bad person, especially when you have bigger pockets than the person you sue.

Wow! There is so much that is right with that.

You seem to have conveniently forgotten his other history with regards to homophobia, and assault, just as Castleford did as it happens.

Wigan is the club I have followed all my life, and I would rather they had given him a miss. Sorry if that doesnt agree with your view.

Your right, he harmed no one else.... Other than the castleford players preparing for a super league grand final.... And the castleford coaches preparing for a super league grand final..... And the castleford fans preparing for a super league grand final...... And the castleford sponsors preparing for a super league grand final... So no harm done.

As for the Wigan angle, the majority of people bringing them up are Wigan fans, I don't understand why anyone thinks cas are suing Hardaker to get cash from Wigan, its nothing to do with them. If he has signed for barrow castleford would be doing the exact same thing.

And the England team preparing for a World Cup.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.
