Thunder fan Posted February 26, 2019 Posted February 26, 2019 jason payne has been stood down from the head coach role, im shocked, will trust the clubs decision, though shocked, who will replace him?
thunderpete Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 This is a drastic move. I want Jason and the club to come back stronger from this. If possible.
Thunder fan Posted February 27, 2019 Author Posted February 27, 2019 available names i can think of alan kilshaw ex rochdale coach got them promoted, and paul rowley ex leigh and toronto coach.
Thunder fan Posted February 27, 2019 Author Posted February 27, 2019 or maybe even current player liam finn.
RLNew Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 Was all set up for Liam to take over in my opinion. Alan Kilshaw will prob get a mention.
NERugbyDad Posted February 27, 2019 Posted February 27, 2019 My first thoughts were they'll try to get Finn to step up but then I read the 'Newcastle Thunder - Payne out, Thorman in?' topic on the General Rugby League forum and it sounds interesting. He announced last month that he has been told he is no longer facing police charges so he would probably be available for a return to coaching.
Blind side johnny Posted February 28, 2019 Posted February 28, 2019 Rumour is that a number of players are also leaving. What is happening? Sport, amongst other things, is a dream-world offering escape from harsh reality and the disturbing prospect of change.

The Colonel 56 Posted March 1, 2019 Posted March 1, 2019 Lots of money spent on players for this season, but the fact remains good individual players still need to gel as a team otherwise you don't get the results. However, don't think Jason as had enough time with them.
