Presumably he was signed on before close of business on Friday 9th............

He became a free agent when he was released by Barrow so is available for us to sign after the transfer deadline

I'm sure I'll think of something funny to say soon.

He can sign but according to the Op Rules [C1.2.6(a)] can't play in any of our remaining games. No mention of exceptions for free agents, only players currently on loan or trial (providing loan or trial period hasn't ended) or eligible through DR.

Our Twitter feed today talked about "sneaking a signing in before the deadline", presumably we completed this on Friday but only announced it today?

Just seen that and had come back to comment. If not would seem a bit pointless.

Rumours around for Will Sharp coming back to you guys next season as he won't be at Fax.

Will was always very popular in his spell at Fev. Probably not got many years left now but a thumbs up from me if true.

Who can forget his 3 golden game-deciding moments...the crucial last- minute try v Sheffield to secure a 4th league leaders shield in a row, the amazing after-the-hooter try against Batley, and of course that wonderful moment when he hoofed the ball dead at the Shay when he looked set to score for Fax and deprive us of a top 4 place ...

Was based on my overall view of him, not seen enough of him this year to know how much he may have deteriorated.

According to the club Spedding is here until end of season 2019, so why is it quote in an earlier post that he cannot play thisseasonb

and why do we need a 3/4 anyway.

If he signed (or more correctly was registered) after close of business on 9th August he cannot play for us this season. If, however, the tweet referred to above is correct and he signed before that (but it wasn't announced until today) then he can play.

he's signed a short term contract so obviously he can play if he couldn't play would have thought he would have signed a contract for next year like whylie

Whylie's is an extension to his current contract.

Signed for 2019 last September https://www.pontefractandcastlefordexpress.co.uk/sport/rugby-league/featherstone-rovers/featherstone-rovers-sign-whylie-from-leeds-for-2019-1-9344908

and from the Club's website announcing his signing for 2020 "In 2018, the 20-year old joined Featherstone Rovers on loan from Leeds Rhinos. Whylie made 8 appearances towards the back end of the season before going on to sign permanently with Featherstone"

Journalist Gary Carter is reporting that Salford are in for Jack Ormondroyd for next season. Interesting that someone who can't get in our 19-man squad at the moment might be heading to a top 5 SL club next year. Think jack has been unlucky not to get more game time lately but equally there's not much between most of our forwards.

John Davidson in League Weekly reckons he's off to York.

Batley has been mentioned as well but apparently they have Rettie who is a much better player. ??

A top player who should still be in our team.

Might be some of the reserves who played well enough to be given a contract after giving their all in achieving the goal that the Club promised them.

some may be given a contract beckett hartley et all

but the club state quote "players that are going to take the team to the next level performance wise." end quote

and as good as the reserves have played don't think there's any of them that fall into that category

We still should be running a reserve team
