As a Southerner and late comer to the sport i never got to see Hanley play but even in the highlights reel BBC showed last week you could see he was someone very special

From my time watching the sport best English players I've seen Sculthorpe Offiah Morley and Farell

Paul was a fantastic player even at school. He was in the year below me at Counthill School, Oldham. We all knew he was one to watch even back then. And the rest is history.

Sculthorpe was a very fine international player of the SL era.

Yes. Not a lot in it but I do think Cunningham at his best had it over Buderus.
