When we arrived in South Australia in 2006 the only two programs worth watching, each week, on terrestrial TV - even after we got Foxtel - was an improvisation comedy show called ‘Thank God You’re Here’ and a pop quiz hosted by a some chap called Adam Hills titled ‘Spicks and Specks’ which sometimes featured a British comedian or singer.

Still watch the repeats and he also recorded some new episodes in the last 12 months.  If anyone asked me what is the immediate image that comes into my mind to describe Australia it is the opening bars of the shows intro ‘Spicks and Specks’ by the Bee Gees.

Anyway enough of my self indulgence just want to say he’s a reyt good bloke.

I was fortunate enough to stay in the same hotel as Adam and the rest of the Australian PDRL guys last year. He and all his team mates were an absolutely cracking bunch of blokes.
