Hopefully Warrington announce a top coach, there definitely was some positives with the young players emerging.

From what I saw, Grace Burnett looks to have a big future but just needs some experience around her. She’s only 21 and I don’t see any other players in WSL with her physical presence.

Millie Bell just turned 19 had a breakout year playing in the halves.

Nicole Barnett 18yo centre showed glimpses but they probably had more injuries than any other team and they could only replace them with youngsters not yet ready.

Hopefully fullback Anna Dennis hangs around and Shannon Stephens comes back from injury.

Do you have any insights as regards the general state of affairs at Warrington?

Someone has suggested they won't have a team in WSL next year.

Would not be a surprise if players like Grace Burnett were sounding out other clubs. Nor if Wigan or Saints were sounding her out.

How does this fit into the overall picture👇

A Warrington Girls Community post this week depicted 8 of their 14s and 15s players signing contracts with Warrington Wolves.

A recent Manly-Warringah media post sheepishly revealed the club will "pause" their NSW Premiership team in 2025 "with a view to bringing it back in 2026". Prefaced by bullishly reaffirming their intention to join NRLW by 2027.

I really don’t know about Warrington’s future but one of their better players Sammi Simpson has signed for Swinton.

It does mention in the article that she could have stayed at Warrington though so that is a good sign.

To my knowledge, they haven’t announced a new coach yet either.

Ive not heard anything since I first heard that rumor but a lot of things have happened since to suggest that all is not right over there. I'm hearing there are more teams paying their players next season as well which is great for the lasses and even if it is not much, its still a start. Sheffield to continue to pay, Wakefield and Fev starting to pay and heard that Swinton may be starting as well and might explain some of their recent signings especially when you consider they will still be in league 1 next season. Back to Warrington and that may be a route they do not want to go down which maybe could explain people sighting a difference in vision for the club.

A short-sighted vision, some may say, from a club who loves a gimmick.

Following on from the questions on the previous page, I'd like to know how many of the Welsh players at Headingley were in the team that qualified for the WC.

Whenever there's a solid performance by their national team or Cardiff Demons, some posters start speculating about further progress. Overlooking the sad truth that women's RL in South Wales is just an off-season diversion.

The WC will take place at roughly the same time of year i.e. during the NH Union season. If most of their best players are unavailable, I don't see much value in their involvement. Any one of Samoa, Fiji, Tonga, Cook Islands would blow today's Welsh team off the park.

Amy Hardcastle announced by Saints. They must have come up with some more money but honestly I think its the best thing for Wigan, although she can still dominate against the lower SL teams, Amy has looked totally ineffective against anyone half decent. Losing Hoyle and casey as wel is going to hurt Leeds and for some reason they seem to be struggling a bit on the recruitment front.

With Caitlin Casey moving on and Hannah Butcher retiring, that's a whole new HB pairing needed at the Rhinos. Casey should be a great replacement for Faye Gaskin

Really not sure what to make of Leeds ATM. For a team with an enviable record of toughing it out and staying in big games, and with a big reach across the women's and girls' game in West Yorks, they're not generating much brand loyalty amongst their players.

I echo your thoughts ("totally" might be a bit harsh) on Amy Hardcastle.

Where are Hoyle and Casey going ?

I read an article but it stopped short of saying, it only mentioned Hardcastle to Saints.

I think Leeds will be fine, Ruby Walker will fill one of the halfback positions and she is a great prospect, I thought at times during the year Caitlin Casey didn’t look happy at Leeds through her body language so a fresh start will be good for her.

With the emergence of fullback Ebony Stead, could we see Ruby Enright switch to the halves ?

Glad it’s all finally become public

Casey was always going to follow Amy.

There’s nothing sinister behind these moves. Mood in camp is positive.

looking forward to new season see who is giving the the vacant squad numbers

Exciting times ahead

Here's our analysis of the Amy Hardcastle transfer, with Shona Hoyle and Caitlin Casey expected to follow her from Leeds to St Helens..

I’ve read this, however some of those numbers are way off the truth

Keen to see if Paige Travis gets an NRLW contract, if she does then Hoyle is a direct replacement for her.

Saints already looking strong next season.

I am actually excited to see Leeds’ young guns next season.

Me too….especially to see who replaces Amy at centre.

Its hard for Leeds to drop out of the top 4 but in my opinion early indications would be that they are cast adrift from the top 4. I do not think the girls coming through from the academy are anywhere near good enough just yet to step up in the positions that Leeds need help. Obviously we are a long way off the season and there could be signings to come but from rumors going around its really unlikely they will be signing big names to fill these gaps.

Leeds next year will be like Wigan 2 years ago.

4th and building for the future

players not back in yet so still a chance of outside recruitment.

Six months ago I asked Leeds about Stead, Walker and Bruce. They said good prospects but we wouldn’t see them in the WSL in 2024. Within weeks, they’d all been pitched in and all three are clearly superb players. There are a few more where they came from too.

An exodus of players might just help them as it did Saints at the end of 2022.

I’ve got the 10k figure from various sources. The Leeds figure of 50/win came from one source who’s never got anything wrong yet, but happy to concede it may be higher now. Is that what you were referring to?

Either way, my understanding is Saints pay their players more.

Leeds have a structure where wins against top 3 pay more than the other 4 teams

Both payments higher than £50

Heard it through the grapevine?

Do we know yet where Hollie Dodd will be next year?

Could always start a rumour that she’s going to Leeds 😎

Got any prospective financial analysis?

Can’t see her playing SL.
Just not the money there yet and will be a long time before it’s on the same level….if ever

Fear the Vegas game will be an embarrassing mismatch

She is staying in Canberra, it hasn’t been announced yet.

Raiders also looking at Amelia Brown.
