All the indications up here that King is joining Barrow next season.  Superb forward  carried Whitehaven for the last two seasons but playing in a better team will score a bagful tries.  He's pretty unstoppable 10 meters out on the charge.

Shame we are losing him but he's way to good for League 1 and the fact we haven't paid players  so many times over the last two years no one can blame him at all.  You may need to hire a mini bus to transport your West Cumbria contingent if the rumours are true.

He'll be a great signing for you, not sure where Teare will fit in your back line but be good for squad depth. Another ex-haven player joining you as well. Hell of a squad next year for you I reckon

Agree about teare ,decent enough player but wouldn't say he's better than any in our squad in same positions, king is phenomenal on his day , assuming the other your refering to is Jake carter

Alex Bishop has signed, just hoping we can stay in the championship as we're starting to build a strong squad for next season

I think he’d get in over Toal/Shaw depending on if he’s playing centre/wing

If he does sign it would be a tough call who to drop, Shawy especially for his kicking but I think Toal is a winger and has been exposed quite a bit defensively playing inside

Absolutely correct re. Toals defensive deficiencies.

Watched 2 or 3 away game video's and numerous tries were scored going thro' him and Shaw.

Ryan is a great kicker, but he's slowing down and hasn't got the pace he once had. I felt he should have been first to the ball on Haven's first try on a kick through, but Romeo beat him to it.

I think Teare is best on the wing, he's always looked dangerous when he's played against us there and does some great work bringing the ball out and taking some load off the forwards. King will be an excellent asset, especially if he has a good pre season.

Bishop is a great la player only downside are his injuries. Set off like a house on fire for us then got that injury against st helens kept him out for the season. Only started his comeback just before we played you lot last year picked up another injury never played again for us . Don't know if he's played much at keighley this season . But if fit great player

I think of our better players Romeo has signed for Widnes and Mcarron at Halifax .  Castle is worth signing if he's staying over here .  Very consistent plays big minutes and has the size to take the ball forward rarley misses a game also.  Hangman has been good and scored trys but think he's heading home.  I wouldn't go near Gebbie he could be anthing he wanted but dosent have the head for it.  Miazon has gone awol with all sorts or rumours , supposed to have signed for Widnes but I think that's in doubt now.

After that not much left Newton Holiday and Ainley solid performers but no better than what you've got. Jamie Doran and Philips both have  bad injuries  and will either  retire or head back to Town if they can recover and want to carry on.

Whitehaven aren't relegated yet.

A win at Batley and then who knows.

It's not over yet and Barrow Swinton Batley and Halifax are by no means safe

Exactly !

Agree he's a top top player and a quality signing if rumours are true ,always been havens stand out player from pretty much the moment he joined

Not quite, he missed many months with a knee injury when he joined, that said he is very effective but can drift into and out of games.

Quality player can cover hooker too, first watched him play last season for haven at craven park and ran the show. Tough as teek. Good kicking game and a good rugby head on him, even showed Sammut up that day

That was his last game him and O'brien both season long injuries

Marcus Obrien would be a solid signing if he overcame injury .  Excellent player in the stuart Wilkinson mold with a little more skill and athleticism.

As it stands I don't see where bishop fits? Johnston and Walker in the halves wood and Smith signed on at hooker for next year.  Now unless walker is shifting to 13 which I doubt as I'm sure King will take that jersey or Smith is leaving (hope not) I can't see bishop being a squad playing 6/9 plus it would be good money wasted.

Teare an interesting one, I presume Corkill will be available and could re-sign giving us that local squad depth instead of paying for Curtis to travel back and forth I don't see much difference in those two players.

Teare is a better player than Corkill.  Much more of an attacking threat , try scorer and stronger runner.

Corkill has been consistent and reliable but he's not fast enough for aback or big enough for a backrower to be stand out.  That said its his first season and still young.

If you get King Teare and Castle they will all improve you.  Bishop when fit is a much better player the your current half backs still in his late 20s and 100 plus games in Queens land cup.  He's just got that rugby knowledge and brain , all the skills and that winning attitude.

He's played 14 times for Cougars so far this season. Started 6 and 8 from the bench as interchange hooker. He's had a couple of injuries that meant he missed a few games, one was a bit of a freak throat injury.

I've liked him this year, we've been a better side with him in, but he hasn't really nailed down a position which has probably meant we haven't seen the best of him.

There's an outside chance we could play Barrow in the play off final. That would be a funny scenario for him to be in!
