Harlequins switch final home game to Friday night
Harlequins Rugby League announced today that their round 27 Engage Super League fixture against Warrington Wolves will now be played on Friday 3rd September (8pm KO) at the Twickenham Stoop.
Harlequins RL General Manager, Paul Blanchard explained:
"We have been aware for some time that we could not fulfil the fixture as originally planned and our options were the Friday evening, which was always our preference, or to take the game to an alternative venue and play either Saturday or Sunday.
"We were very keen to assess the feedback from our supporters, sponsors, players and staff about our first Friday night game which was overwhelmingly positive."
Harlequins RL head coach, Brian McDermott, added:
"There was a fantastic atmosphere at our first Friday night game which really helped lift the players. They are all looking forward to another exciting Friday night game when Warrington come to town."
But Ingerlund soccer are also playing that evening

I was sat on the Underground train, and there was a girl looking at me. She was pretty good looking, too, I thought, "something's wrong here - girls as hot as that don't take an interest in me".
Then she came over and said - in a really strong Cockney acent - "excuse me, are you Sam Tomkins?".
She asked me for my autograph, and I was made up...until she asked me to make it out to her boyfriend. I was gutted, I thought she wanted my number
Sam Tomkins - Rugby League Week 14.03.12After we were well beaten by South Sydney at the Sydney Cricket Ground in 2010, a coupl;e of kids maybe eight or nine years old took their Wests Tigers jerseys off as I was walking off the field and threw them at me. "What's this" I said "You can have the jersey" one of them said "we don't go for West Tigers anymore". Then they ran back to their parents who were laughing. That was difficult to take, having kids who look up to you do that. I just dropped the jerseys on the ground and kept walking. It's not like we go out and lose by 50 points on purpose
