Yeah we’re looking forward to it, we’re running a mini bus from Halifax for some of our followers

Off to see the Stones tomorrow at Old Trafford. I've always liked them but not a stadium gig fan so have never been to see em. But I knew my Mrs wanted to go so I got sa couple of cheap 'Lucky dip' tickets for £30.

It's a funny thing but in 1981 on their tour (Tattoo You?), they played Roundhay Park in Leeds and a mates brother was on security and asked us if we wanted to go (for free of course). No way are we going to see those old fogeys we said....so here I am 37 years later. :D

1982 I think and if you didn't go you missed the stars of the concert, George Thorogood and the Destroyers.

Blew the Stones away?

Aside from the fact it's no longer 2017....

Tomorrow I'm off to see SLF/The Beat/Buzzcocks/Selecter at Leeds millennium square. Really like all 4 bands (esp SLF) and all have good new material too, so it's gonna be a quality night with various old mates.

Only issue is I'm working tonight so it will be a few hours sleep, something to eat, then pub meet then gig. Still, you're only young once.

How were SLF......

I used to love them as a kid....

I went to Rewind in Henley on Thames a few years ago because the B52s were headlining and Kim Wilde was on the bill and Billy stole the show. As soon as I got home on the Sunday evening I was online buying his greatest hits album. It was a case of every track was a classic and one you knew.

Seen both bands live. Give me George and the Destroyers any day.
