Now it’s time to focus on the big one, the opening Championship game against the odds on title favourites, Toronto Wolfpack. 14 sleeps and counting!

We have been here before in 2017 winning in front of an ecstatic crowd of 2,602. Since then both teams have progressed significantly, both on and off the field. Since that encounter the Knights have been drawing some big crowds; 3,031 to see them take on Challenge Cup winners to be, Catalan Dragons. On the final day of last season 3,223 watched the Knights lift the silverware after a nervy but ultimately comfortable win over Whitehaven. But the biggest crowd last season was the opener against the Bulls, which was watched by 4,218.

The records are sure to keep tumbling this season with some huge crowds anticipated against some exceptionally good, and well supported opponents. Our home is our fortress though with just one league defeat last term - ironically as far back as the opener against the Bulls. This will be one hell of a test but if we can make BC rock, then you never know.

My dad is making the short trip over from Sheffield for this, tickets purchased. Do we know how many tickets have been sold? Any chance that the Longhurst will be open for this?

Good to hear Wilson. Given the capacity of the main stand is around 1700, the Longhurst will almost certainly be open, and if we all bring a friend the Popular Stand will be too. And if we all work very hard in drumming up support for this cracker, perhaps even the away end! ?

Good luck guy's, get stuck into them, as Corporal Jones says " they don't like it up em!" Will McDermott have his charges any different to Rowley in attitude, only time will tell.

Thoroughly looking forward to visiting York with Leigh after what seems such a long time- I have been over to Heworth since last going to York RLFC - Sunday 3rd March time enough for both teams to have settled in by then, expect a good following from Leigh fans.

A difficult one to call but the smart money looks to be on a similar crowd to the one that witnessed the title winning clincher against Whitehaven. The pop stand and the David Longhurst were open then. Assume they will be this time too.

Bring a friend, bring a relative, bring a neigbour, bring anyone you know. We need lots and lots of people to wave those flags!
