moorside roughyed
Thoroughly well done today, hope this might be a catalyst for a rosier end to the season (fingers crossed). This should provide at least some confidence going forward. All the players were imense especially Langer's and our no 17.Great stuff!.
thecrab
Poor 2nd half both teams looked like relegation material Important win though. Crowd 516 disappointing
suzzy
Relegation material do you realise what a tough league this is just be thankful the team is doing everthing to stay in it as are all the other teams below the top 5 i wonder what position you would have expected the team to finish at the start of the season but as you rightly said it was an important win especially for team moral may it continue. chappy

thecrab
Happy with the win of course but just look at the completion rate of both teams in that 2nd half, it was very poor. We could have and should have given haven a good hiding today. Play like that on Friday and we will get trounced
m brooksy
Bad start. Excellent middle. Bad end. Langtree was super as were both Leeming and Foster at hooker. Liked the look of Gill. Decent size and showed good pace for his try. Not sure about Wood at half back and Grimmer at centre, although I thought Grimshaw was excellent, or about Owen at scrum half. Get Wood at centre and Grimmer in the halves with Palfrey/ Roper. What's going on with Palfrey? Dropped or carrying an injury? Think this was really important for our confidence going forward. Lots of big and important games coming soon and if we had lost this I dont think we would have coped to well.
OutsiderLookingIn
i thought that Whitehaven looked very tired towards the end...could have been because their players are big lads...twice the size of ours...or maybe they came today expecting an easy game and to whitewash us? One thing i did notice was that the crowd, small as it was, was so much louder than ive heard it in a LONG time. Honestly, at some points, it was deafening, and was a joy to hear! roughyed34
Fantastic result today, Langers was outstanding, but everyone who wore red and white did there bit. Crowd was fantastic, until..... we won and Oldham fans walked out and did not congratulate the lads, that knocks me sick. Crab was most likely one of them, the lads sweat blood for us and we deserved that win full stop. Relegation material?? Really? Not off that performance. Some people on here want us to fail, for the loyal 20 who don't miss a game home or away, that was a treat for us. Either support us 100% or don't bother turning up, as OLI says the crowd were behind them 100% loved hearing the whole end singing for the lads. Thrilled to bits for the players, we go to Sheffield next Friday, lets have it! Love this club. The faithful 500, I salute you. Wish we had 5000 believers, come on Oldham, we go again on Friday, bet you any money its the usuals who travel. Stop moaning, we won, enjoy it and keep the faith. Up the Yeds! thecrab
I'll bet Scott wasn't happy with that 2nd half, lost count of the number of knock ons, the saving grace was some excellent kicking, and no I didn't stay at the end, didn't know it was mandatory. Agree Langers was superb and deserved MOM

At least Wood and Owen played what was in front of them not just going through the training ground plays. The second try for Langtree was created from a superb kick from Wood when he placed it into the in goal area when he read the on rushing Whitehaven defence had give him the option to place the football there any no.6 would have been delighted with. Top quality play from the youngster. Not the perfect halves combination but certainly a footballing pairing.
roughyed34
Its not mandatory, but just a bit of respect for the effort our lads put in, quick to critise but can't even applaud our lads off the pitch? Sad from so called Oldham fans.

Understand your thinking mate but some of us can't make home & away as much as we'd like to. Also some of us put many hours a week into the club free of charge without or the wanting any praise. Great win and so want us to stay up!
The Roughyeds Wispa
I didn't mind playing wood stand off showed something different everytime he touched the ball. I thought our kicking won us the game today 2 40/20s and woods kick for langers try first half was quality. I see the crowd being very down at Sheffield if England win tomorrow just saying and Friday night is always hard to get to anyway
TOSH1960
Just needs to think about his kick offs. Two out on the full put us under lots of pressure. But agree about the freshness of our play.

roughyed34
I didn't say people were not Oldham fans, the point is I find it odd that when we win people would not stay for the extra 2 mins to appreciate the lads. That is all.
