Hmmm...interesting because TRL report and Hornets twitter have Hatton starting the game. From what you report he may have been in the announced starting line up but replaced before the kick off. Hope something definitive emerges.

Anyone at the game able to explain why 18th man was activated (and scored a try). I thought they were activated if a team lost two players to concussion. Hope thats not the case….Dont want to lose players so early in the season.

Roar moved to Redcliffe for two seasons…it was a disaster attendance wise so moved back to suncorp last season. They played one game at Redcliffe this season, but the rest at Suncorp. Redcliffe is 25k from Brisbane…its a wide open concrete stadium with very little shade. An awful place to watch in Queenslands summer with temperatures often in the 30 degrees plus.

Interesting trivia….Hornets first ever challenge cup tie (well northern union cup tie to be accurate) was in the first season of the cup…1896-97 season, 150 years ago. They beat Waterhead 11-0.
