  1. ...changing home game day from sunday to friday evening after opening up season ticket sales. Appointing a bloke whose previous included being sanctioned by the office of fair trading, being suspended by the FA, extending a managers contract without the approval of the board..was a disaster waiting to happen. That was a BQ appointment but he chose to ignore the blokes track record.
  2. Great write up...and a good win against what must be (until today) our bogey team. Nice to see us above our neighbours in the table!
  3. No gloating from me....genuinely want to see RL strong in Rochdale Oldham, Swinton. All good rugby people. Always sad when a club stalwart feels the need to leave his true home. Funny how chaos happens whenever a certain figure is given the commercial purse strings of a club. Lance that boil. Hope things can become clearer and the BP mess can be resolved satisfactorily. Roll on Good Friday...wherever it may played.
  4. Mike Ford now resigned blaming it on the direction the club was taking.
  5. No time difference between perth and singapore Two hour time difference between Perth and Brisbane. Return economy weekend flight from perth is just about the same to both places.
  6. Perth to singapore 3900kms Perth to brisbane 4200kms
  7. But game of the round was always played at the SCG (or in brisbane at lang park) no matter which teams were playing in the old NSW and BRL competitions.
  8. Thanks to you and tyrone.
  9. Hmmm...interesting because TRL report and Hornets twitter have Hatton starting the game. From what you report he may have been in the announced starting line up but replaced before the kick off. Hope something definitive emerges.
  10. Anyone at the game able to explain why 18th man was activated (and scored a try). I thought they were activated if a team lost two players to concussion. Hope thats not the case….Dont want to lose players so early in the season.
  11. Dale didnt sack him...he left by mutual consent...so odd anyone would express surprise at Dale sacking him. You have yet to support your claims about me with any evidence.
  12. Still waiting to hear from you Hornets Grey. Incidentally Bottomley was not sacked by Rochdale...he left by mutual consent. So seems odd anyone would say they couldnt believe Dale sacked him...they didnt! Is this your equivalent of Truth Social? Say whatever you want to believe as if it was fact. You can go through all my posts and you wont find what you claim in any of them. Are you going to withdraw the false statements you made?
  13. Mr Workington Town…..chairman of the RFL and manager of Great Britain tour to Australia. If anyone could be called Mr Rugby League it would be Tom.
  14. Roar moved to Redcliffe for two seasons…it was a disaster attendance wise so moved back to suncorp last season. They played one game at Redcliffe this season, but the rest at Suncorp. Redcliffe is 25k from Brisbane…its a wide open concrete stadium with very little shade. An awful place to watch in Queenslands summer with temperatures often in the 30 degrees plus.
  15. Interesting trivia….Hornets first ever challenge cup tie (well northern union cup tie to be accurate) was in the first season of the cup…1896-97 season, 150 years ago. They beat Waterhead 11-0.
