If you get a chance to see The Gaslight Anthem live don't pass it up cos' they're brilliant live. :D

Yes, I'm very annoyed as I'm fairly sure they played Melbourne earlier this year (I remember seeing the name) but I didn't know who they were then and didn't go....grrrrrrrr :(

Ry Cooder - I, Flathead.

Pandora's Box - Original Sin. OTT? Oh yes... even by Jim Steinman standards.

Just bought one of these. It transmits audio wirelessly from computer to hi-fi, without requiring a wireless network.

It took 2 (two) whole minutes to install at most, but that would have been even quicker if I hadn't got the mains lead tangled. Connection was swift and automatic - ready to go before I got my media player started.

The sound quality is, perhaps a little inferior to my previous setup, but the Logitech removed the background noise that, with my old DAC, was always present when running the laptop off the mains. It still sounds very good, and miles better than the soundcard output.

The remote control didn't work, though, but I already have a full-feature remote for the laptop, so I wasn't planning to use it anyway. BTW, the silver stand thing on the left of the photo is optional; you can plug the transmitter dongle directly into a USB socket.

In short, highly recommended.

I got an app from Apple for my iPod that allows me to remote control my computerised output from my iPod anywhere in wireless network range. Gives me full control of iTunes on my PC from my iPod.

That allows me to play my music on my stereo downstairs and control it anywhere from my iPod.
