Sweary warning on the video but Oldham's finest,  Seb Lowe, is going to be famous one way or another.

His gig in Leeds the other week was magnificent, one of my all time favourites, and that's from someone who has been gigging non stop since 1984. They came on stage and nearly blew the roof off, it was quite an experience.

He's just been signed up for Glastonbury and I really hope his band make it big.

B-side from their darker period.

Comsats had genuine crossover potential. "Fiction" deserved far better sales.

I drew a line after "Land". Sleeve notes on the CD reissue describe the band as "suspiciously well-dressed".

The two albums following Land , 7 Day Weekend  and Chasing Shadows,  the first was very commercially sounding,  the second rather pedestrian and dull. After that the final two were pretty good IMO. Sleep No More probably my favourite,  though I enjoy them all except Chasing Shadows.

My Minds Eye- Route 666

The Glamour- Psychedelic Dungeon

They also released an album in The States,  but couldn't use the name Comsat Angels because of confusion with an American Tech company,  and instead used Dream Command as the band name, one album titled Fire On The Moon.

Celestine.

Wolverine - Machina

Swedish 'prog' band. Absolutely love them. Well worth the effort If you're willing to put it in. Great vocalist and beautiful music.

People of a certain age know the bits of Godiego's 1979 theme from Monkey that were in the opening credits. But the keyboards get seriously trippy in other parts of the track.
