It started off as a Rega Planar 3 but I had it moded at Inspire Hi Fi near Chesterfield. All that's left is the sub platter, bearing and motor.

I thought it might be something like that - it didn't look like any production turntable I'm familiar with. Mine's a bog-standard NAD 533 (effectively a re-badged Planar 2) with a Rega Elys cartridge and running through a Cambridge phono stage. It sounds pretty good for what it is.

I was going to upgrade to something better this month, but my new laptop and DAC used up the available funds. Next year...

This is a strange LP some absolute classics like Nightfly,IGY and New Frontier etc and then finishes with the utter dross that is Walk Between Raindrops.

Bruce Springsteen - Wrecking Ball.

I've been giving it some stick as well.

Just watch the republicans miss the point and use 'We take care of our own' in their campaign.

Yes.

I only even heard about it a month or so ago -- and Mr Fuller's short life story is interesting.

That's really good.

I also like the 'I fought the law and I won' reworking of the song by the Dead Kennedys.

Had my first listen to 'Malpensa', The Nits' new album last night. Much less acoustic content than their previous two or three releases, with interesting sounds and textures all over the place. The first impression was that there were slightly too many songs in plain vanilla 4/4 though. A complex album that I'm sure will reward repeated listening.

Mick Green in fine form

latching onto punk by middle aged men is a bit iffy though.

and those boots.

What a great band all the same.

My grandad had a pair of boots like that for the Arctic fishing grounds.

I'm not sure Mick's ever saw active service on the high seas.

Three bits of vinyl from my local 2nd hand shop.

Steely Dan - Aja

Janis Joplin - Pearl

Bruce Springsteen - Greetings From Asbury Park

You must get there early, mate. I got there at 3:30 the other Saturday and the lazy bleeder had already shut up shop.
