I'm wondering how the women's game in England and Australia will develop.

England are expanding and giving more opportunities to more women. Australia is being ultra conservative with only 4 teams the first two years and possibly for the third year. At the moment Australia has the upper hand in quality but I have a gut feeling the English method might yield more fruit later.

Certainly the fastest growing sections of the game. With high numbers of female fans in our sport compared to other major sports we need to take advantage of this opportunity.

There’s a concern that the pool is being spread too thin though in SL. York and Wakey were heavily beaten a lot of last season. Hopefully the conveyor belt of talent will start to feed through to address this but they need to look at what is the optimum number of clubs in the top flight

I'm disappointed that Hull don't appear to be doing well. Not sure what's going wrong this end of the M62. Are we not putting in the grassroots work? Could we not be hosting a big game to get the sport out there for other women and girls?
