Predictions for the future -

Crusaders RL to get a franchise for 2012 onwards -WRONG

Widnes Vikings also to get a franchise - RIGHT

Crusaders RL to do the double over Widnes and finish five places ahead of them -WRONG

Widnes Vikings NOT to dominate rugby league in years to come! STILL TO COME

West Wales Raiders are pleased to announce Aaron Wood as their new coach for 2020. The Raiders have replaced Kim Williams with another Australian coach, Aaron has had plenty of experience both as a player and most recently as a coach with stints at Paramatta Eels & St George Dragons u20s, Toulouse Olympic & France first team

There was a step change in WWRs ability last year. What does this appointment signal?

It mentions there will be a great quantity of coaching staff and that’s good for many reasons.

Kim Williams, for all his talents was overstretched last season. He had way too much expected from him alone.

Aaron will have more coaches working with him. This will be beneficial for the time Aaron decides to move on

Sounds promising.

He's a French speaking coach with a French wife.

With him playing/coaching in both Australia and France his recruitment will be interesting.

He's a bit behind the eight-ball though,with such a late appointment.

Could be another tough season ahead.

No reserves, but resilience, persistence and determination are omnipotent.

I’m not sure what to read into it but on Facebook there’s a private group called West Wales Raiders Playing Group 2020 of which there are 30 members.

I imagine all are South Wales or south west of England based (Cowburn, Kislingbury) and have been training together for a couple of weeks.

The question would now be how quickly can quality additions arrive and settle?

I can't see any mention of how long the contract may be for the head coach.

It may be mentioned when the rest of the coaching staff are announced.

It's been a lot of change...
