Waynebennettswinger
Saints look fresher for obvious reasons, glad to see Hull up the tempo before half time, they are still in this but need Reynolds and Sneyd to manage the game better.

Nothing wrong with that contest. Then a little bit more fortune with that Hull try. I wouldn't say it's a lifeline. We are second best by a long way. At least it gives us something to play for in the second half though. Laughing at you turning back on pal, we’ve all done it I’m sure. The VR call was harsh, especially as sent up as a try but such is life. Glad to see Hull upping the tempo late in the half, just close enough to stay in it for now. It's just so frustrating to see us looking so limp in recent weeks after what was a really promising start to the season. I know we are missing some important players but we look miles away from being a team that can compete at the top. At least we are showing some fighting spirit though.

Every season Hull are my dark horses…that either shows my lack of knowledge or that Hull flatter to deceive. Anyway here’s hoping that late surge pushes Hull on so we can watch a better second half. One thing that does stand out to me, Saints desperation in defence. That effort to push players back even when they are well up on the scoreboard. The desperate efforts to tackle in to touch or to stop Swift grounding. If Hull match that then this could be a game.
Padge
On the contested kick no-try, I believe you are not allowed to steal the ball off a player who is in the air following a kick. Just Browny
He's dropped that Fonua reason. I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly. Padge
... and that Hull try as I was posting should be disallowed. 1 Visit my photography site www.padge.smugmug.com Radio 5 Live: Saturday 14 April 2007 Dave Whelan "In Wigan rugby will always be king" This country's wealth was created by men in overalls, it was destroyed by men in suits. MZH
We only seems likely to score from kicks but I'll take it for now. Little bit of hope.

Just Browny
Shame MZH switched off, it's livened up this. 2 I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly. We've looked much better this second half, if only that ball bounces a bit kinder for Faraimo. It's the hope that kills you though.

Nah the game has a commitment to protect players. if the consequences are too harsh, players will eventually learn to stop going over the line.

It's not a blatant late hit on a prone player like we do see sometimes, it's barely even left his hands and he's tackled. Give a penalty, fair enough but never a sin bin for that.
Man of Kent
Well, that’s it. After 20 minutes it looked for all the world that Hull would be taking a spanking but fair play to them for sticking in there and making a game of it.
