See Alex Walmsley has received a grade B charge for an accidental head clash, I don't think I've ever seen a charge for that type of incident before??

Saints now confirmed they are challenging the charge.

I have to admit after watching it again it appeared that Greenwood was tackled first by Roby which pushed him sideways and then his head clashed with Walmsley who was 2nd man into the tackle

They didn't look slow when putting 40 on Salford.

Clearly all is not well at your place. Challenge Cup Final last year & a decent league placing looked liem it was leading to something this time round.

All is not lost yet. A change in form & a decent run of wins will bring the play offs back in to view

Connor signing baffled me as he isn't a team player. What has he actually added?

Nothing as yet

I've not been one of the "Disciplinary have it in for us" brigade this year, but a Grade B charge for an accidental clash of heads? Seriously?

That's been deemed a worse offence than Yates's Grade A dangerous contact to Makinson's knee?

Rugby union have issued red cards for what we call accidental head clashes for some time now, deeming it reckless / putting an onus on the defender to avoid head contact. We have never taken this approach.

As far as I'm aware, we have always seen them as accidental until now, rather than reckless or a foul. Take James Bentley's collision with Abbas Miski a few weeks ago which was not punished. Looks like a change of approach by the RFL even compared to a few weeks ago.

Interested to see if we the panel confirm it was an error by MRP or now seen as an offence which will be penalised.

For once Common sense has prevailed with overturning the charge. This is a contact sport and head clashes are going to happen from time to time. For me the only time charges should be brought for a head on head clash is if a player deliberately leads with the head into a tackle (attacker or defender)
