Lose this game and I think that’s the end of the season pretty much. Cut out the basic mistakes and needless penalties and we’ll be ok.

I wouldn’t say a loss is the end,but we would need to beat Newcastle and York.

All we can do is stay positive and get behind Cresta and the lads.

Keys to Win, IMO.

* Discipline: No offsides. No stripping the ball. No bad-mouthing ref. decisions.

* No kicking directly into touch on penalties or short kick-offs Jarred.

* Eliminate errors: Only minimal knock-ons and bad passes.

* Complete our sets and pin opponents back with deep kicks.

* Keep our shape, play as a team, not as individuals.

* Stay patient, level-headed, be non-emotional and stick to the game plan.

* Solid defence on our goal-line, especially be alert on 5th tackle.

* Creative plays on opponents goal-line, not one-dimensional bull-dozing.

* Off-loads by forwards on attack (see my Keighley post) to keep the ball moving.

* Corkill at centre instead of Carter.

Achieve much of the above and we'll win. If not we'll lose.

Remember Swinton are desperate too, just like we are.

If we do lose, we'll probably need to beat both Newcastle and York to stay-up.

Probably a few more points too.

A win is absolutely crucial, otherwise we'll probably need to beat both Newcastle and York to stay-up.

Move over Cresta 😉

Good grief, you lost me at hello. It'll be half time by before Cresta manages to read out your game plan.  😎

Well as a Swinton fan its a must win game for both of us - I think if we lose we are down 😞

I am sure both sets of players will be up for the match but I am sure there will be nerves on both sides...........I would like to think Swinton can win but we have had too many near losses this season (last week was no exception).

Should be a great game - for the neutral and nail biter for everyone else.

3 more big games this weekend..tonight the Cougars visit a Sheffield side with playoff hopes.Tomorrow TO are at Halifax..with 2nd place guaranteed they may rest a few..vital for Fax to win to keep up their playoff bid..Fax are at Keighley next and finish at home to Swinton.Important for Barrow that Fax have summat to play for. Finally Haven are at Batley who unbelievably are on a 7 match losing run..Haven will fancy their chances and  finish with Swinton (a) and TO (h).Cougars finish at London ..Broncos aiming for a playoff spot and maybe more!

Plenty to keep an eye on before ( and during) the Swinton game.
