Sure the journalists there will have asked, and not ignored those good questions, or they only write stories when they think there's some issue to attach it to.

Is Emily Rudge’s international career over?

Why is Stuart Barrow still picking small forwards and overlooking the in-form Savannah Andrade & Jasmine Bell?

I hope Barrow reads your article , great insight Richard , thanks.

This article makes perfect sense, whereas many aspects of the selection make none.

This coach seems to be continuing the bias against York players which was apparent under the previous regime, where they were always well outnumbered by Leeds and Saints players.

There doesn't seem to be any other logical explanation, unless they are after all required as wedding guests.

Did the coach actually watch the semi-final and final? A conversation between him and Lindsay Anfield would be interesting.

I think it’s more the small forwards strategy than any bias against York who play in an entirely different way than he would.

York won the comp mainly by picking a giant pack in the last few weeks and winning the battle in the middle - Saints’ individual errors were also key of course.

A Stuart Barrow team couldn’t possibly have done what York did in the last few weeks of the season.

I’m getting a lot of grief for the article in the Facebook group, but I stand by it. I hope I haven’t offended any player, but I’ve consistently made the same arguments for two years. Prop is a specialist position and you can’t keep putting medium-build back-rowers there.

People saying size does not matter but the womens game in this country is at a development point where players do not yet have the skill set to overcome the size advantage of opponents. At an international level against the best teams it is like going back to junior rugby where the teams with the biggest players will usually win.

I watch all the NRLW's highlights and if England is to have any hope of competing against SH sides, they have got try match them in the forwards. They have impressive size in that regard.

Leeds lost to Saints & York this year because in my opinion the pack is too light

I think Leeds beat York 1st game of season cos they were fitter

Looking at the U19s at Leeds and not sure where the big forwards will come from. Loads of backs however…..

I’m hoping Pauliane Wamabalu comes through at Leeds, she has a bit of size and I really rate Connie Boyd as an edge backrower.

I was going to attend this fixture as I was going to the England Samoa game. However I knew the the scoreline would be similar to what it ended up. Our girls need proper competition on a level of where they are. Wales are nowhere near that at the moment. Hence why I didn't attend the game,it was quite predictable.

What are the options given they can't afford to fly to the southern hemisphere for games and/or nobody at the RFL wants to pay for them to do that?

Their next scheduled outing is in Vegas which, and I'm happy to wrong on this, will also be the next competitive fixture for the players?

No win situation. A shame. Also they deserve some form of financial recompense.

With Georgia Roche to be added to the squad for Vegas, I originally thought young Isabel Rowe may have been the halfback to make way but I think she should partner Roche now given her mature performance on Saturday.

Thats an exciting prospect.

Another thing I would like to add is I want to see Amelia stay at fullback, Georgia Hetherington will be the bookies favourite to play fullback but I’d rather see her in the hoping role.
