But it’s well documented the off season is the hard part as the cash flow isn’t there And that is down to Salford. There is no reason a deal on the stadium should hold up shirt sponsors unless the sponsors don’t have confidence Salford are going to finish the year, which again would be Salfords fault/problem. 1

No doubt the club have done things wrong I don’t like the fact they’ve relied on the council getting the deal done in time

To suggest otherwise is absolute nonsense. Most clubs are usually pretty cash rich at this point, season ticket sales are in full swing and it’s the peak period for merchandise sales with new shirt releases and Xmas approaching. Cashflow issues are usually more of an issue mid season when ST money has run dry and clubs have periods of 3/4 weeks without a home game. Did I say he shouldn’t be able to comment?

If it’s a club with money (say Wire/Wigan) that’s one thing, if it’s say a penny pinching club that has spent the absolute minimum possible for 20 years and embarrassed the sport at the top level that’s another? If you are trying to call my club, Wakefield, out, we suffered years of mediocrity because we had an owner who was financially ethical - he would only spend the money they had. Salford are cracking on the field entirely because they choose to not pay their bills and run a squad that they can't actually afford. The Salford club and fans like you are utterly shameless. 2

In the years since 2012, when Salford moved into the stadium, for how many of 150 months have Salford Red Devils paid their full rent? Compare and contrast.

This moral high ground game is so weird you only want to hear one thing and that’s up to you,

In what world is this ok? I thought Shameless was a work of fiction - I'm now thinking it was a documentary!

dboy Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 It's really not complicated. The club is so badly run they need a half a million Pound advance. That's not a sponsorship issue, it's a financial mis-management issue. SRD spend more money than they generate. And this is not new - it's historical. 3

Charlie Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 There’s no doubt Salford aren’t in a great position but there not some evil con artists like your making out, it’s interesting that the other club chairman don’t seem as upset

They are merely inept and lack financial ethics. I'm certain the other owners are more than "upset", but we'll see how much they feel their hands are tied. It won't look good to SRD fail. The ghosts of the Bulls bail-out fiasco still loom large.

They were given £300K earlier this year to "stabilise the club". Salford Red Devils receive £315,000 from council to provide "immediate" financial support | Salford Now

They can’t let Salford go under this year a 11 team sl would be horrible. All we can do is wait until the stadium deal is done and see if what the bored says will happen is true, if not they have a lot to answer for I will say in the last 2 weeks a woman from sale sharks has joined Salfords bored, she seems very reputable and hopefully can steady the ship

dboy Posted November 24, 2024 Posted November 24, 2024 Has she got £3m to give you? It wouldn't be an 11 team SL - both Bulls and Toulouse would take their chance.
