it should be another cracking season of Championsip Rugby League, plenty of highs and probably a few lows for every team, at least this year there isn't a defacto Super League team in the mix, which should make for a better competition.

Yes, I think our friends at Oldham should prepare themselves for teams in an apparent death spiral getting off the floor and delivering a superb performance, inexplicable lapses in form, at least one team going into financial meltdown and at least one management team losing the plot completely (hello Keighley, thanks for the memories 😆)

Quality might be variable from season to season, but the championship is never dull !

Yeah you were great against Cornwall and Newcastle 😉

You can only play what's in front of you. Keighley gave us a shock and we managed to grab victory from the jaws of defeat against crusaders and hornets. But if we're in the mix after round 5 or 6, then we'll know we are on track!

You could be top after 5 or 6 rounds and still get relegated.

I stopped going to Whitehaven cos they employed women beaters and constantly had the begging bowl out to pay their wages. Not sure about other fans reasons for not going, maybe the fact it’s a 7 hour round trip to visit a third world backwater with nothing redeeming about it?

There’ll be hundreds of York fans visiting the salubrious surroundings of South Leeds & Featherstone this season though, that’s for sure

Thank you Simon ,we look forward to seeing you all.

York played at Whitehaven twice in 2013 and brought 14 & 19 fans. They had a few more this last season but no where near the usual 100+ quoted. Must be one of the worst teams in the Championship for fans travelling to away games or maybe they just dont like Cumbria as Town have had similar numbers from York in previous seasons.

i went to the haven game this year and id say 100 would be a fair call for the number of york fans, there wasnt many haven fans tho, and whitehaven town is a lot closer to the ground than york is. our trip to dewsbury this year looked like more away fans than home.

I got married and divorced in 2013 if we're talking about irrelevant things from 11 years ago.

I made this for anyone that might find it useful. All club fixtures as we currently know them. I'll update and share again when the Valks know who's in their Challenge Cup group. ⚔️🪽

Very informative.  I can see six clashes (mainly away games) between Knights and Valkyrie. I like to support both teams home and away.  There may be more when the cup fixtures are announced. This is very annoying.

Some may work if the women's kick-offs are 12.00.  For example, last season I managed Warrington vs Valks followed by Halifax vs Knights with about a minute to spare.  I don't think many people are bothered by this but I find it very frustrating.

I enjoy the odd double header but understand the club can't make much money out of these , i also enjoy the odd stand alone fixture but this must be very difficult to avoid clashes especially as we share the community stadium.

Your 'at a glance' 2025 Knights & Valkyrie 2025 updated fixture list.

*Hull KR is obviously only if we beat Keighley the week before, and the opening two Valkyrie cup games are TBC.
