What sort of away following do you lads generally have?

Obviously a lot does depend on the opposition and location but always 100+ diehards

York played at Whitehaven twice in 2013 and brought 14 & 19 fans. They had a few more this last season but no where near the usual 100+ quoted. Must be one of the worst teams in the Championship for fans travelling to away games or maybe they just dont like Cumbria as Town have had similar numbers from York in previous seasons.

I stopped going to Whitehaven cos they employed women beaters and constantly had the begging bowl out to pay their wages. Not sure about other fans reasons for not going, maybe the fact it’s a 7 hour round trip to visit a third world backwater with nothing redeeming about it?

There’ll be hundreds of York fans visiting the salubrious surroundings of South Leeds & Featherstone this season though, that’s for sure

Bit poor to quote figures from 11 years ago!

I must agree that our away support is poor, but as has been said, who wants to spend a day in a car to go to Haven, Barra et al, rather spend the day with the wife.

Looking forward to seeing you all at Boundary Park in February. Had a good day out at your place last season (apart from the result!)

Seem to remember some of your fans expecting to give us a good pumping in that game too. Quite funny really considering exactly the opposite happened and we weren't even good then.

Simon, you totally outplayed us on the day. Myler and Dagger ripped us apart. However we were a totally different team after that. Going to be a good season for both of us I think.

You played League 1 teams after that, don’t forget.

Don't think Tandle's words are what the majority of us Oldham fans think - as excited and optimistic as we are , we know how tough the Championship will be & that we will have good days & bad. If we are challenging for a top 6 spot that will be a big achievement & anything else will be a bonus.

it should be another cracking season of Championsip Rugby League, plenty of highs and probably a few lows for every team, at least this year there isn't a defacto Super League team in the mix, which should make for a better competition.
