plug
England signed for wakey today on a 2yr deal would have been nice to have him back with us but with us trying to cut the wage bill that was never going to happen?? Bit of wishfull thinking on my part i think

Cardypaul
Good signing for Wakefield. We are just going to have to accept it's going to be a slow rebuilding process for us.

Monkeymagic22
Not sure he made much of an impact at Wire. Perhaps WTW more his level.
Cardypaul
May well benefit from being back in West Yorkshire. Would have liked him back with us but out of our league at present
The Blues Ox
Why! Do you think he should have gone to Halifax ? He obviously wanted full time rugby so who can blame him. Would probably have earnt more in the long run at Fax with win bonuses but he needs to be in the shop window in SL.
haskey
I thought Marshall was not going to go down the full time road with his team. So how does full- time Wildcats equate with your part time wages Eh!£
fev4evatiggerneva
Yes sounds a bit silly, cant afford to go full time but paying more for players than a full time team???

Robin Evans
Not worth afe that.... In my opinion of course "I love our club, absolutely love it". (Overton, M 2007)
The Blues Ox
Yes sounds a bit silly, cant afford to go full time but paying more for players than a full time team??? Depends what his guarenteed is but you would think Wakey will finish bottom next season losing more than 3/4 of their games while Fax realistically could win 3/4 of their games, that winning pay probably brings the money quite close but then with a part time team if he did something on the side he would comfortably earn more than his SL wage unless he is on more than 40K which is unprobable for a prop forward at most clubs let alone the worst team in SL. The guarenteed is the big thing though as Fax or any other part time team would likely to be incentive based and if the player would be unlucky enough to pick up an injury then it would be no play no pay where as he is more likely to have a bigger guarenteed with the SL team. Part of that is one of the reasons Sheffield are struggling to bring in players and it wasnt a case of those players that have left wanting to leave it was more a case of them been able to earn more playing part time rather than full time. Les Tonks Sidestep
......that winning pay probably brings the money quite close....... Really? A team getting a fair bit less than half as much 'grant' as another can pay players more or less the same? Now there's a recipe for financial ruin...... saddleworth
England broke no pots for us IMO nor has he done at Warrington. Big lad but did not use it.
The Grinder
England broke no pots for us IMO nor has he done at Warrington. Big lad but did not use it. I must have been watching a different Mr England then, since i think we have miss him since he left. And if you have a look at his record at Warrington, it isn't that bad, maybe not as good as Mr Hill, but still not bad. But it is all about opinions. I'm sure I'll think of something funny to say soon.
Monkeymagic22
I don't think you'll find too many Wire fans disappointed that he's left. For me he's found his level, which is above ours at present.

Robin Evans
I'd have him back at an instance... Those days have gone.... For now. "I love our club, absolutely love it". (Overton, M 2007)

If 'fax are paying the equivalent of SL salaries they'll need the begging buckets back from Bradford pretty soon.
Les Tonks Sidestep
IMHO his performance in the 2013 GF against Sheffield was his only really disappointing display. He'd been great in the run up but whether it was the occasion or he simply tried too hard (think it was his last game for Fev) he just didn't perform. Personally I would have thought it a very good signing had he come back.

Its one player as an example. Believe it or not there are some players at most championship clubs that are on more money than some SL players
