I'm 57.... putting me about 12 when it was released. Amongst my mates back then I don't think there is a single one of us that hasn't owned a copy of this album on vinyl......

What a shame there isn't an equal "Maconieism" for what he's up to in that article. Preferring one rather than the other and having a basis for why doesn't logically make it like racism or anything else. Like middle of the road politics he's not really championing anything and will say the opposite next article because he had a deadline.

And of course Hank is better than Tammy and so are a lot of other people! And until I read that I didn't know Williams had drunk himself to death. Liking Abba does not mean you're more reasonable than someone else anymore than preferring the Disco stuff to New York Mining Disaster 1941 , To Love Somebody , or Massachusetts does, I know which I like more.

Just got up too early again so had a morning of Ray Charles, Otis Redding and Van the Man!
