Lee Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 Like 2 bitching kids in a playground "Castleford Tigers has concerns over the feasibility of the Newmarket site, particularly the likelihood of planning permission being granted in time for the stadium to be completed to schedule". You bring out a press statement and feel the need to highlight Wakefield, poor mate, very poor. Should be bigging up your own not getting cheap digs in A lot of Yorkshiremen believe that when God created the world, he made it with perfect balance. He balanced the hot areas with the cold areas. the dry areas with the wet areas. And, in creating Yorkshire, he created the most glorious place on earth - full of majestic beauty and sporting giants.........and for balance he created....... Lancashire.
Whacky Llama Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 http://www.castigers.com/article.php?id=938 good news hopefully They say no news is good news
Millman Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 They say no news is good news No mention of funding. It's getting petty as Lee points out.
nec Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 A Cas press release that mentions Wakefield before they mention their own club??? Jeez, and we wonder why the media don't take us seriously as a sport Rugby League is a sport that desperately needs to expand its geographical supporter base and its player base. This imperative means that all other requirements are secondary until this is done. All power in the game should be with governing bodies, especially international governing bodies. Without these actions we will remain a minor sport internationally and nationally.
Padge Posted July 27, 2010 Posted July 27, 2010 So that'll be Widnes and Toulouse in SL come 2012 then. These guys know how to make it easy for the RFL. Man of Kent Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 (edited) Wakefield are getting a new ground anyway. It’s going to be called Belle Vue and located in Agbrigg. One of the stands might even have a roof. No doubt they will charge a shilling to enter! Edited September 7, 2018 by Man of Kent 1
TheDuke Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 Is there any movement on either project in all seriousness

wasginger Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 Yes there is David, it was in local paper yesterday. They've applied for permission to increase the capacity, apparently they know they're going to fill the stadium as was planned, so they're increasing the capacity (drum roll) by an incredible 245. Now then if that isn't a load of BS just to keep them in the spotlight I don't know what is. There must be some changes in league structures due.
DEANO Posted September 7, 2018 Posted September 7, 2018 So finally cas are hoping to meet super greed ground criteria sometimes you have to take a step backwards to move forward
