Maybe it's me but the picture quality is dire,until it goes HD, I won't be subscribing

Have to agree I've got vhs tapes from the 80's which look better than the picture they are broadcasting.

Was ###### to start with a few months back, its spot on now

A lot of Yorkshiremen believe that when God created the world, he made it with perfect balance.

Only looks OK in close up, distance shots and replays still look quite blocky.

Telly only 6 months old, quite a few people have complained about picture quality, maybe it looks ok on duff tv's :P

Looks ok on my 42" Plasma/LCD or whatever its called :P

I've been Sky+ing the 4 games every week and I'm still trying to catch up so when it goes subscription I won't be bothering. I'm about 5 weeks behind so I've got 20 games lined up to watch. That'll do me! :D Maybe next year.

Sky rang me out of the blue to offer HD free for a year. Valued customer or something like that. A couple of months after we had the HD installed, Sky rang back to ask me what I thought of it. I told them it was a complete waste of money, and when the free offer ends I'll be cancelling. Still, got a nice new sky+ box out of it. :lol:

All i did was phone to say I was cancelling(still had an old sky box not a +)wouldn't pay for a new box, and was told as a valued customer I could upgrade to HD and just pay for the installation.Told them give us it for free and we won't cancel, bingo, free HD for the year.You've got to be persistent with them, quite a few of my mates did the same and got the same result.

Last one I watched was St George/Penrith played around 3rd/4th of July.

It's worth it just for the commentary alone. Light years ahead of Eddie and Stevo.

Love the commentary, make average games sound great. The missus made a comment about the Broncos - St George game saying it sounds a great game based on her hearing the noise from Warren and Gus.

I would like to see the match analysis shown though, sounds like a lot of banter being thrown about unlike the boring state the obvious football pundits we have in the premiership.

I'm not saying it's how it will be with these, but with every Sky channel, you have to be subscribing to that channel at that time to watch something that you have recorded on it.

i assume he might have copied them off Sky as i am sure that a standard Sky+ box won't hold 20 games.

The HD Box holds 80 hours and it's the same with the Virgin box, although you can get one that holds 160 hours meaning a lot of games.
