Jones is more off the cuff. Holmes excellent passer of the ball etc. Chizzy hasn't got the best tackling technique but defences are always aware of what he might and can do. He could be in the top three every week. His prime objective is to make other players stand out like he did/does with Brad Day for example and Craig Hall just revels in the luxury of having a fantastic half back to work with. 3 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

That makes it harder for clubs to justify bringing him in unless they're confident he'll be a significant contributor and a starter rather than just squad depth, and it's tough to get a regular starting gig at half back in SL, as the likes of Holmes and McLelland have found. Maybe he has got a job lined up, but equally, most Leeds fans seem to think he was on a fairly modest salary by SL standards at Leeds and if the contract they offered him was similar or reduced it might be that we could at least match it, we do seem to have an increasing number of players who don't have a job outside rugby.
