Ulverstonian Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 great win today in atrocious conditions. Fab start to the season and already 4 points better off than the other two cumbrian teams !! May be the difference at end of season. Did Sammutt not play?
RSN Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 Identical game to last week got a good lead first half then spent half an hour defending but other team never looked like scoring. The signs are very good to be honest. Sheffield winning comfortably at Bradford means last week wasn't a good victory against a poor team. Our pack looks so solid and have backs who can create tries from nothing. Miloudi same as last week got the ball 40m from try line with nothing on and we end up scoring. Really think we can beat Newcastle next week to be honest.

Sounds promising & hope we continue with this form & the weathers better & a big home crowd enjoys us going top (however briefly that may be).
morty Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 did Sammut play...hes down as being 6 by the BBC Lee Morton Raiders have risen from the ashes
BarraFan Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 Sammut didn’t play, he came out in the kit warmed up then went back in, hopefully he’s ok for next week, hard game in tough conditions today at least it’s a win, roll on next week
bruner Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 I would stick with Carter. He's gone really well in preseason and played well so far.
Town utd Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 agree with sticking with carter, sammut should go on bench, but should partner carter as weeks go on
Border raider Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 Really enjoying watching the raiders this season, travelled down to all the games so far and the lads are really playing for each other, the defending 2nd half today was unbelievable in horrendous conditions, every player deserves huge credit, agree about carter too, great game again
HP Beans Posted February 6, 2022 Author Posted February 6, 2022 Fantastic performance, got the points on the board early doors and defended brilliantly to a man. From Haven point of view,I’d be disappointed with their attack,,never really troubled us to be fair. Not visited in a few years but the clubs are deffo going in different directions for me. Up the Shipbuilders

pennington Posted February 7, 2022 Posted February 7, 2022 A Brilliant performance from barrow, the first half we were miles apart from Whitehaven in game control and attack. At no point in the first half did they threaten us Second half was tough for me watching in the constant hail so must of been awful for the players ! The second half our defence was spot on, real commitment from the lads. Well done barrow, roll on next Sunday at home.

Yes from Carlisle Originally, I started watching after the merger in 1997, and again in 2018 after returning from overseas, Tane and Holty were both fantastic players that came as part of the merger, hotly going on to be a club legend, Ryan shaw and Jake carters dads both played in that team too.

Raiderfan67 Posted February 8, 2022 Posted February 8, 2022 Tremendous performance in shocking conditions. Our young halves played the conditions brilliantly and controlled the game and our defence was awesome. Team spirit and the desire to play for each other can take you a long way in this game and we appear to have both by the bucket load. Well done, brilliant result
