As it stands at the moment I don’t think we’ll be keeping Sam Day☹️

Yes definitely need at least 2 forwards, preferably props.

The Sam Day saga has been

On Off, On, Off, On, Off

Heard he didn't want to go in the championship due to work commitments, then I heard he did want to play next season, then I heard he wasn't going to play, then I heard he wanted to play but couldn't as he couldn't do training, then I heard Sam & Dale had worked out how he could play without training🤔

So looks like the Hokey Cokey currently stands at OUT rather than IN🤔

On the Newcastle pages declares him as a stand off or scrum half🤔

True C on his wiki page says

Marcus Walker (born 12 August 2002) is an English professional rugby league footballer who plays as a scrum-half or stand-off for the Dewsbury Rams in the Betfred Championship.

So which is the right info🤔

He might have got fed up playing halfback and fancied a change🤔

Fergie's new signings seem to be youngsters of known ability who have yet to find their niche in the game. In going that route he is backing his own ability as a coach. Good for him.

I prefer this to looking for players at the other end of their career who need a step down. Not counting the one we already have  of course. He gives his all to the club.

The squad is looking promising. Can't wait to see the rest of it.

Teams in the championship are going 1 of 2 ways in recruitment

1. Ship in a load of old men and buy success

Or

2. Build a team for the next 2 seasons

Is there a level of speculate to accumulate, banking on no relegation in 2025, where league 1 and the Championship merge.

Dangerous game banking on that

And does leave us wide open to failure if that merging doesn't happen

Let's just finish 12th and avoid the relegation roller-coaster 🤔

When does the league season start?

A bit soon for panicking I reckon.

We have signed winger Travis Corion from Doncaster for next season.

Travis was well liked by the Doncaster supporters. Didn't manage to get as much game time as he probably deserved but when he did play he never let us down, and scored some great tries. Think he is the kind of player that will thrive with regular starts

If Corion is to tie down a regular wing spot, what then for Lewis Carr and Davey Dixon? I reckon Perry Whiteley will make the other wing his own.

Who will be the regular centres?

I think that Carr will be the prime choice and not sure if Whiteley will be the other wingman. Nowadays defensive skills are as important as speed for a winger so we need to see how they all perform first.

Bailey O'Connor  &  Ollie Greensmith gotta be favourites for me.....
