I'm looking at the medals as the total overall rather than just the golds and if we do that then we are 3rd in the medals and of course USA and China don't count because they always run away with it and no one has a chance of competing with them so if we discount them then we were top of the medals table!! 😁😉

There are whole sports that China just win every time.

I'm up for introducing darts and lawn bowls.

Its incredible that we didn't qualify a women's 4 x 100 team for London 2012, since then we've medaled in 2016, 2020 and 2024, and 4 out of the last 6 world championships, but you're right, they missed a glorious chance to win gold here.

I know it's sacrilege to say on here, but how were we not even in the mens 7s rugby?

Essentially, it should be like the British Lions entering the RUWC. The fact they're not that bothered enough to qualify, shows why it shouldn't be an Olympic sport IMO.

The Olympics should be about the pinnacle of a sport, not an off-shoot of an established sport that some countries maybe feel like taking seriously some times.

I don't know who funds the British rugby sevens team, but I remember hearing a couple of years ago that the English Rugby Union were vastly reducing funding for the 7s set up.

I remember when they had the Sydney Rugby League 7's in pre season in the 1990's and before and i thought it was a great way to promote the coming Australian Rugby League season.

It looks like Raygun is now the most famous breakdancer on earth and the most widely known Australian Olympic athlete ever.

The worst part about all of it?

The breakdancing she did when the Olympics had finished and she was just doing it infront of other athletes, was so much better than the interpretive rubbish she did in the Olympics itself.

Yup.

She is the global face of Australian sporting prowess.
