Josh Addo-Carr roadside test

Recommended Posts

He has just 12 months left on his current deal worth about $500,000. The Bulldogs have already indicated they won’t be in a position to offer Addo-Carr a new deal in 2026. It means they would allow Addo-Carr to test the market and if he could secure his long-term future elsewhere they would be unlikely to stand in his way.

Addo-Carr’s agent Mario Tartak has already met with Bulldogs boss Phil Gould last Friday to discuss the 29-year-olds playing future.

The Dragons have already been mentioned as a possible destination for Addo-Carr however they most likely need to move winger Mikaele Ravalawa to help with their roster management. The Dragons have salary cap space to accommodate Addo-Carr.

Whichever club Addo-Carr goes to they will need to contend with a three game ban hanging over his head after he tested positive to cocaine in a road-side drug test.

The Dragons are rumoured to be about to sit down to talk with Josh Addo-Carr and his management, with the exiled Bulldogs star almost certainly set to leave the Belmore club.

That is according to the SMH, who are saying Addo-Carr’s negotiations with rival clubs will ramp up in the coming weeks, with his partner being close to giving birth.

Gus will unload him the first chance he gets to free up some of the salary cap.

Josh Addo-Carr's time at Canterbury appears over as he prepares to front the Bulldogs board in the wake of his drug-driving scandal.

AAP understands the Bulldogs have issued the former State of Origin winger a show cause notice, with his future set to be determined when he appears before club powerbrokers next week.

Addo-Carr has looked at long odds to see out the final year of his contract since further analysis of a roadside drug test taken in early September confirmed a positive reading for cocaine.

The Fox has finally been hounded out by Gus....

Correct decision as standards apply to all along with the need to be honest with your employer about what exactly you have been up to off field.

Players cross Gus at their peril in Australian Rugby League.

Yes he has his detractors, but doesn't suffer fools

“To all the Bulldogs fans and family, thank you for a memorable 3 years. The love and support you’ve shown me since I arrived at Belmore has always been amazing and the memories will last forever. I appreciate you all,” he posted on Instagram.

“I’d also like to thank my teammates and coaching staff. We built a brotherhood that will last forever and will miss our time together on and off the field.

“I came to the Bulldogs in 2022, a time when the club was struggling and at a low point. I wanted to help bring back the club to the powerhouse it once was and most importantly, I wanted to help build a winning culture. In 3 years, I’m proud to be a part of that turnaround.

“Unfortunately, circumstances won’t allow me to be at the Bulldogs any longer but I wish the club, my teammates and most importantly the fans nothing but success.”

No apology from him, then.

He sacked Ivan Cleary and replaced him with Anthony Griffith back in 2015 and wanted Bennett there after he sacked him. Cleary only returned to Penrith on condition that Gould was sacked.

Used to see Gould around the Penrith leagues club and he was a loathsome detestable  egotistical individual who I had great pleasure in winding up on every occasion I ran into him.

I personally thanked Greg Alexander and other members of the Penrith Board after Gould was sacked.
