These are the words of someone who didn't have to witness that fat guy (who was not generously endowed) streak at a semi about 10 years ago.   I cannot unsee that.   I shiver still.

The music's just there to drown out the whingeing about anything and everything, whether real or imagined.

That same entitled bitchiness is also why I spend less and less time on match threads these days.

Let me never fall into the vulgar mistake of dreaming that I am persecuted whenever I am contradicted.

I think you and I have been on here long enough to know that I'm not a whinger or a miserable poster. I hope the entitled bitchiness phrase is not aimed at me. If it is, well ok, you're probably my favourite poster on TRL so I'll have to let it go.

I've just been to so many finals where the sheer joy of the fans is drowned out by drunk people suddenly enjoying "hi-ho silver lining" or some other simplistic bobbins tune.

You have to admit that the awful songs - and it's always the same ones - drown out the noise of the celebrating fans?

Sorry to be defensive, but I'm trying to get rid of what I see as a blight on the match experience.

My eyes aren’t too good, does that read at a semi or with a semi

Any club playing Sweet Caroline should be deal with. Just copy cat stuff.

The Dolphins are really bad offenders of playing very very loud music at every opportunity, including the sin of playing it over game play.

I don't mind a bit of music provided it's either a club song or they keep it fresh and modern. I share LW's disdain for the cheesy 70s and 80s Phoenix Nights type stuff.

Also for big games, with a decent crowd, you can let the atmosphere build pre-match without deafening everybody. Nothing wrong with a good tune just before and as the players come out, but you want to be able to exchange a few chants with the opposition without having to out-bellow Fatboy Slim.

I can confirm 30+ less sales for Scotland vs Italy at Workington, after this afternoons test purchase for the Tonga match, £7.50 is extremely reasonable, however a £2.50 'delivery' fee for a walk in purchase is beyond taking the mickey, good luck with that, it's cheaper on the telly.
