Need to see Render and Oakes on the park next, we already know Goeds and Coops. Will be interesting to see Midlands seeing as they are our DR club and that can work both ways if they have any talent.

Render yes

Oakes no… he wouldn’t get in our team now we’ve seen Dean

we have got burton also to fit back on his right wing

Still need to see them, who knows how Iskes might gave performed in training? If he wasn't pulling his weight Sparky would have offed him. I agree that our 1-7 is laid out but plenty to fight for. Give 'em all the chance to prove themselves.

Tell me where I said you were wrong? I just stated that I am not so sure anything is settled yet - how can it be, we have only played one friendly so far!

Going on the way signings have been talked about I don't see anybody butting in there, barring injury. Picking the 10 forwards however, as we like 4 on the bench, will be a different kettle, don't see the settled 6 being changed but picking 4 subs is going to be a right job!

I sort of agree but you never know. For myself, l feel a little bit more optimism than l did at this point last year. The young lads we brought in then seemed to be not quite ready to replace all of those we lost. For the likes of Butterworth and Burton, they both have that bit of extra experience now. Arundel looks like a solid replacement for Buchanan too. The forwards look to be that little bit stronger if the new lads come through.

What's up, Dogs?

Just came to ask if there is any chance of Saturday's game being cancelled.

Have seen you've had a lot of rain and snow and wondering how the pitches were coping.

Cheers

Got my ticket then.

Next question: will there be catering - beer / hotdogs / Fox's Biscuits etc ?

Best food in the Championship and the beer is good too!

Final question: I've got to get the train after the game.

Is it an easy walk back to the station? *

* with a full belly of beer and hotdogs 🤣

About 15 minutes walk, the good news though, most of it except for the last 300 yards is downhill

Will maybe get an Uber for the last 300 yards!

Cheers.

If you are coming up with the opposition you are not allowed in "t' nine oil" unless you pass a loyalty test !!!

We'll have converted him by the time we get to WF17.

Well, congratulations to Midlands, best side throughout, we were under-numbered and out-enthused until we went 10 points down. We beat Rams with some great ball play, continued it in the first half today then went back to being one-up Batley. Am concerned about Arundel, not getting involved so much and looks uncomfortable. Jonah looked half decent at s/o, Kjbula and Cooper worked hard and in tandem and Hepworth again was stand-out in the 2nd row, my MoM. Will have to pull out better rugby minutes next Sunday.

I would have been happy to leave with just a full belly but the result was just the tonic after a difficult couple of weeks battling the flu.

All of the Hurricanes players excelled so I'm giving the Person of the Match to whoever cooked the delicious corned beef hash.

Top day out in the Batley sun.
