I believe in man for man marking, your job is to stop him.Inside it is the centres job to man mark his opposite number. In the modern game second row forwards help the middle more than covering the edges.Notice who nearly got across to help Marshall.Farrell an experienced player reading the game like good players should. But too many just stick to the coaches game plan.

Teams don’t defend man to man. Who is marking the fullback?

Fullback chiming into the line is the most potent weapon in the modern game - Northern or Southern hemisphere - simply to create the 'extra' man, defences have yet to annul this threat, we have tried the sliding defence where the formation of the defending team moves across to outnumber the amount of attackers on any given side with the direction the ball is being promoted.
