This game is MASSIVE. Great record home and away v Barrow recently but we need to be full of Bulldog Spirit from now onwards. No more blow-out scores, no more couldn't care less performances, 200% effort, players who know what Batley is about. Already lost 2 4 pointers on the bounce, another loss sets the tone.

Tough one this week. Barrow are flying high with lots of confidence. We are not! Sometimes a team can find it hard to get out of a losing streak, which we seem to be in at the moment. The season isn't over by a long way yet but I'm sure if we can win, or atleast go close, then the confidence will come back and we can start looking up the league table. Heart says Batley, head says Barrow......

As much as we need him to bolster the defence I wouldn't like him to be rushed in too soon.

Taking into account injuries and suspensions Moxon is making too many changes. When players play well they are dropped or moved out of position. Greensmith, Burton and Dean being examples. Alfie Dean scored the winning try against London, did not miss a tackle and fielded every kick. Dropped against Hunslet.

Hoping for a win on Sunday but I fear a lack of team cohesion will cost Batley. I predict Barrow 24 Batley 16.

Greensmith and burton have played out of position due to injuries to Arundel and Walshaw

What do you expect us to do when we were down to our last 17 against London

I felt sorry for dean against Hunslet and I said why in the Hunslet thread

I think he should be given a chance

I did not know Batley was down to the last 17 against London Broncos.

In regards to Greensmith and Burton I did write taking into account injuries and suspensions. I still think Moxon as been making too many changes. Whatever the reason is for what Moxon is doing it is not working and something needs to change. Batley are looking like relegation favourites. Hopefully the change will start today.

Can't see a win today, I think we are way off the mark with our predictable style of rugby. Barrow are flying this season and have had some cracking wins. Hope I'm wrong but I'm going

What a game I where fearful in the first quarter but what an hell of a comeback, Barrow are a fast unit but at times in the second they looked all done in.

Nobody left on the bench in 2nd half to relieve the troops on the field

That I didn't know, just observed the match as it played out. It was a good match for all that.

Well, well, Batley appear to be back, best performance of the season. Yes, at 14-0 many of us thought we were jn fir it again, Barrow were tremendous for 25 minutes, sharp, fast, elusive, great with the ball whilst we were slow, I up again, missed lots of tackles. Leak and Ward turn up and hey presto, we completely turned the tables. Sharper on attack, started hitting our first tackles when they had the ball, better ball-handling and go-forward. Barrow were shell-shocked to be behind at half-time and Crarey's team-talk didn't seem to help. We dominated for a good 25 minutes and were really unlucky to concede the Globetrotters try but still found our way back into their space and managed to cut down their 6 tackle distances even whilst defending uphill. Shame about the last kick but we can't keep scoring tries a foot from the corner flag and expecting every kick to be nailed. However I do agree with other posts questioning some selections, especially Dean, a man of his size really needs to be found a place. Someone's question will be who to leave out, don't know, obvious answer would have been Elliot Kear today, but hey, he's just had his best game in a Batley shirt....and as an aside, for the first time ALL DR's looked like they wanted to be here!

Funny result a draw! You don't wether to fill elated, or deflated, I suppose both teams will be happy with it especially with barrow taking a good early lead and then at the last minute hoping woods would miss the kick to avoid defeat I wonder if the hooter guy came on the barrow bus the kick just at half time and at the end he blew just as woods was about to kick, anyway that little niggle out of the way I thought we showed some real grit and determination today which has been lacking a bit of lately, everyone put a shift in and especially the second half the defense was very good! That said we have to start games a lot better than we have done the last few weeks we don't seem to get going until 20mins into the game when we have already allowed the opposition to put points on the board, and that's definitely something we will have to address for next week you can't be giving bradford a 12-14 point start!

Came away from that game very happy,  not disappointed at all

After 25 minutes  it looked like we were in for another hammering,  no organisation, looked beaten already then Wardy came on and with one run the whole feeling of the game changed

Thought Kear was immense, he did a mountain of work, as stated above, all the DR players put in a real shift and in the end we could and maybe should have won but after the recent performances this was a massive improvement and something that really cheered me up.Well done to all 17 players  (once they got over the first 25 minutes  slow start)
