Will somebody please please please talk me through slowly carefully in words of one syllable the way to post photos on here 

I use a Mac book

 

I know I'm dim

And I know people have tried before

But please show some mercy and compassion in this festive time

Let's start at the real basics... Do you have an internet site where you put your photos, e.g. Photobucket?  If not, why not create an account there, try to upload a photo then let us know, we'll take it from there.

  I've heard that before from the wife... or is it "oh god, what new toy have you bought this time?"

 

Just have a play with Photobucket and let us know when you've done it, a few others use it here so I'm sure one of us will jump in to help.

I really like the composition, Padge, but to me it looks a bit oversharp. Plus, have you done some post-production cloning on Andrea's neck? It certainly looks like it.

It's possibly not photography as in 'here's a pic' but I have just read about something interesting. I was looking for old photos of my house (again) and discovered one (hadn't found any yet) because apparently the RAF took a load in 1951 and were going to bin them all but someone stepped in and saved them. Basically its a load of ariel shots of Bradford/Leeds and possibly elsewhere. Don't know the link yet but it's fascinating. I can pinpoint my house using other landmarks and before the estate I grew up on was built. Brilliant

They showed some of the pics in the evening post before Christmas really interesting stuff

There is a nice circular walk at Dunham Massey which takes you past a tearoom and then canal.

We weren't there that long. I have been a couple of times before, but again, only for a quick stroll round the grounds, though previously with friends and their collective hoards of kids. Hopefully will get over again at some point for a better look round and explore a little further.

Something about that photo reminded me of this one I took on a cheapo camera back in 1999 in the Maldives.  Just sitting on a perfect beach at sunset.  A very poor quality photo but it inspires a memory that relaxes me very quickly.

Thought I'd clear the cobwebs out this morning and go for a short constitutional before heading over for the Fev v Wakey game. The range of weather in the Calder Valley never ceases to amaze me.

I'll give it a whirl - I did try to do pdf file including screen prints to demonstrate, but the file is big to attach the on here!

 

I use flickr as my host and a pc, but I can't imagine a mac will be that different. All you need to do is log into your account and select an image. At the bottom right then, you should see a selection of items. The third from the left of these is called "more ways to share". Select that, and you will have options to "share this via", "grab the link" and "grab the HTML/BBCode". You want the last of these. Once you've selected this drop down, you should see some code in a box, with the option to either have "embed", "HTML" or "BBCode", and again you want the last of these. Choose your desired image size (I use one of the medium ones generally), then copy the code that is in the box. Paste this code into your post on here in full, and it should be job done.
