BOLTON ROUGHYED
Not going to say too much but the treatment dished out to Bloomers is nothing short of disgusting.
TOSH1960
If i was an Hornets player i'd be checking the small print! Stinks what's happened to Bloomers after all his service to the club.
rugbyleague
The same treatment has happened to others at the club too. I believe Crook is one of these players.
Tyrone Shoelaces
I'm not liking what I'm hearing. We seem to be treating loyal players in a very high handed fashion. That's not what I expect from Hornets.
allroughyed
Let's not hear from any rugby league club anymore, accusations of lack of loyalty. GIVE US A TEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

moorside roughyed
I've just read Dale's Twitter. All I can say is"Rochdale Hornets "hang your head in shame. It's seems that Dale isn't the only one. It's absolutely disgusting behaviour by the club. After the service rugby league players give their clubs this stinks!. Dale was great while at Oldham and he seemed to be a decent bloke who doesn't deserve as anyone to be treated in this way.
TOSH1960
There both not good enough for the championship Why take up salary cap money? Replace them with better players He shares transport with the coach and he doesn't have the decency to say you are out of contract if you don't put it in writing! Not nice that. Don't care which club it is.

The Collector
There both not good enough for the championship Why take up salary cap money? Replace them with better players You are missing the point entirely. Irrespective of their playing abilities the issue is the way they have been dealt with by the club!! It's disgraceful and certainly puts our beloved Rochdale Hornets in a terrible light within the rugby league family.

We in oldham may have our disagreements with the chairman, but he does seem to treat the players with respect.

If what is quoted is true then for the first time in over 60 years I'm ashamed to be a Hornets supporter. Such a pity coming after a magnificent season. ormskirknet
The Bloomers situations stinks more than just a bit, I'd expect more of the club for sure. Assuming Bloomers side of the story is the truth, and I've no need to doubt it at this stage. But am I picking up something in the above posts that Crooky has also been dealt a contact blow also, anybody confirm? I'm all one for progress, and players no matter how well loved do move on, but that moving on has to be done honest and up front. We might not be good at much here at Hornets but we have always conducted ourselves well as a club, there's a way of doing things and if this is true its horrible. Pedro
Not everyone likes or uses Social media. Could you print what you are on about on here and give us a clue. To paraphrase his comments on Twitter.. He won't be playing for Hornets next year. Last year he signed a two year contract only to be told that the club were not honouring the contract as there was a clause in it saying he had to notify them for it to continue for the second year. He says it didn't say how he was to notify them. He was happy for it to continue and as he travelled in on Saturday mornings with the coach he said that the coach was aware verbally that he wanted to carry on into the second year. On Thursday he was told that the contract was void but he could stay on a pay as you play basis. He feels his loyalty to the club has not been rewarded and that also feels that the club have been dishonest and underhand in getting out of the contract. He thanks the fans and wishes the players well. He is fuming and disheartened. The above is my understanding of his comments on Twitter. If I have misrepresented anything accept my apologies and feel free to correct me.

eclecticsheep
It almost sounds that the BRILLIANT achievements by this seasons squad have caught the "management" both by surprise and totally unprepared for the step up to the Championship?
