Sometimes it's like a stroll though the John Peel Archives on here where you end up saying things like "It must be good Peely likes it!"

Very underrated band, 10th album out in June, can't wait. One of those Brit bands that achieve success in US, OZ, Europe etc but not in the UK.

I remember stumbling upon a performance of this song by this artist completely by accident. This isn't the same performance, but it is still pretty full-on.

Steve Vai, getting inside the heads of all the other hotshots, yet again.

Doing a bit of comparative listening today

Rosalee thin lizzy and Bob Seger.

Blinded by the light Bruce and manfred

All along the watchtower jimmy and Bob

Trapped. Bruce and Jimmy Cliffe

Tears of a clown smokie and the beat.

I've concluded comparisons are not for me.... those are ten great recordings that stand on their own regardless of the writer.

That said, I'm not listening to madonna's American pie ffs. Just no.

We'll have to stop meeting like this Robin, people will begin to talk and you know what barstewards they can be.

Some songs are just so good Jimmy Cranky couldn't spoil them and some are such a unique blend of voice, arrangement and style that any attempts would be pointless. Unfortunately both these only exist in our 'eds!
