When you say "Old", does that mean last week old, or last year old, because that looks pretty much as is now.

Doesn't give a date, but google suggests 1920s. I just liked the "no sheep" and "some sheep" labels.

I live in a surburban residential area of Sydney or, as the local Council regulations state, "a No Sheep area."

Normally we hear about all the deadly animals in Oz and people think life here is nasty, brutish and short but, it's no more dangerous than any other place. Although, a man was gored to death by a deer down near Wangaratta yesterday:

A pet deer too. I've spent the last couple of years trying to stop the things getting into my garden - they seem to have an unerring eye for what's a weed and what isn't.

In a year living in Australia, I did not see any snakes or scary spiders. I did see some crocs in the Northern Territory and thousands of cane toads going under the wheels of my car in North Queensland.

I've spent most of the last 20 years in semi-rural areas so I've seen heaps of spiders and snakes. I've got at least 30 red back spiders within 3m of my computer right now. People confuse "dangerous" with "aggressive."  In most Western countries, more deaths result from horses and cows than from wild animals. In Oz, very few snakes are aggressive. I get the Eastern Browns in my area but nearly every time I've seen one it's "running" away. You will never see a Red Back Spider more than 6 inches away from its web.

I'm pretty sure the animal with the highest global kill rate is still the mosquito.

On Twitter, @visualsatire specialises in Football managers' hair on politicians' heads. Here's Jeremy Hunt with the hair of Franz Beckenbauer.

if an AA/NA meeting suggests animal/Pets friendly then double check before you turn up with a cat, as to who has a guide dog, and who is allergic to cats.

The solution; turn up with something less predictable.

Okay, Ok, Hands, Interpreter, Fingers

Apparently (according to the Anti-defamation League) this is no longer OK to use as a symbol to show you are OK, as it is being used by White Supremacists to identify themselves, now I know there is a sweary filter on here, but I think it is perfect for identifying 1kers among themselves.
