Christmas Songs

Recommended Posts

Okay, it is finally December, so we can have a crack at that 'goodwill and peace' thing.

So here we go, kicking off with an old favourite.

Let me never fall into the vulgar mistake of dreaming that I am persecuted whenever I am contradicted.
Ralph Waldo Emerson

This one rocks.

And when they found our shadows

Grouped around the TV sets

They ran down every lead

They repeated every test

They checked out all the data on their lists

And then the alien anthropologists

Admitted they were still perplexed

But on eliminating every other reason

For our sad demise

They logged the only explanation left

This species has amused itself to death

No tears to cry no feelings left

This species has amused itself to death

Brilliant, I love Django and Stefan Grapelli. I picked up a CD of their's  cheaply in a Sunday street market in Moulins a few years ago.

“Few thought him even a starter. There were many who thought themselves smarter. But he ended PM, CH and OM. An Earl and a Knight of the Garter.”

Clement Attlee.
