That's because it wasn't a try and nor was the Manfredi one. Re the try that was, linesman missed the short right into Crabtree's face before the ref saw what Crabtree did.

The VR has to conclusively prove the on field ref wrong, it doesn't matter whether anyone thinks its a try or not, you have to prove the negative which is always difficult.
