tandle
the weather forecast for the weekend does not look good, heavy rain through tonight and tomorrow could be postponed maybe,
BryanC
Made my usual trip up this morning Tandle (raining here, but not much). Sadly the usual spot where I can see the pitch from was fenced off (crane lifting a total eyesore of a mobile phone mast into place at the Lockwood & Greenwood end). So. Can't report a great deal... tandle
thanks bryan we don't want another Dewsbury fiasco, but being on tv might sway it .

clifford
It's also lashing down in Failsworth, hopefully we won't have to cancel the fixture as it won't be a good advertisement for the club
moorside roughyed
Legging it down in Moorside, wind is howling as well.Pretty grim.
roughyed34
Nowt we can do about the weather, all I hope is that if there is ANY doubt about this game being on in the morning the club do the right thing and get an early pitch inspection and decision on whether it goes ahead. We don't want a repeat of the Dewsbury fiasco.
TOSH1960
I'm sure with the BBC being there, they will have an early inspection.
BryanC
In my humble opinion? Not a chance. Lagged it down since about seven and not letting up. Let's be careful out there fellas, one slip of the tongue and you can end up shopping. (Game's on until you hear otherwise...)

Dave Naylor
My day starts at 8.30. A long winding journey out of Yorkcestershire towards the 'bridge via Slawit (dropping the Mrs off at work). I'll be keenly monitoring Twitter to see any updates from the club that will have been posted by me.

Dave Naylor
Dunno. I'm pretty certain that everyone wants the game to happen and I've got every confidence in the ground staff at Bower Fold. I'm making the trip in the morning, however, we're in the lap of the gods.

Bedford Roughyed
Looks a bit damp under foot. With the best, thats a good bit of PR, though I would say the Bedford team, theres, like, you know, 13 blokes who can get together at the weekend to have a game together, which doesnt point to expansion of the game. Point, yeah go on!

TOSH1960
Really feel for the groundsman at Stalybridge, that pitch took a real battering yesterday. And this rain just keeps on coming!
Dave Naylor
I posted that "game is on" tweet from the ground yesterday. I wrote "definitely on" but my phone preferred "definitively" and wrote that instead. Blummin' modern technology!
