Glynfev
Reported in league express our new half back signing for next year ?? french lad currently at Batley - would have preferred Reynolds but trust in Ryan’s judgement so let’s get behind him. In partnership with Chizzy will give us some flair next year .
sentoffagain2
We like to take a gamble with players recruited. However Carr's biggest problem at the moment is getting 80min out of Chissy. He surely is match fit now so why does he go missing for minutes on end.Without Holmes or Reynolds alongside it leaves us short at half back when Chissy goes missing. Cardypaul
Clearly need to bring in a half back on a permanent basis all this chopping and changing can’t be good for the team. Not sure how good this kid is but we will have to wait and see if he joins.

That's why he's in the Championship though isn't it? There aren't any half backs at this level who consistently take over games for 80 minutes, Thackeray for example is a very good Championship half back but has his fair share of quiet games and was invisible in our two matches against Sheffield this year. same for just about every Championship half back (and quite a few SL ones too). And the question is which of our players would have dropped a goal with such calmness at a crucial time as Chisholm did on Sunday.?His break would have led to an easy try for Sutcliffe had he looked to his left. Im not sure now but wasnt his pass that led to Render putting Sutcliffe in. His demeanor is such that hes doing little but without him yesterday we would not have beaten Dewsbury.By the way well done Connor Jones for getting 7 out of 10 for his performance at Dewsbury by League Weekly. And he didnt even have to leave the sub bench
Steve Slater
I seem to remember being impressed with Jouffret back in 2015 when Whitehaven thrashed us at home after we knew we weren't going to make the Top4. He played full-back that day and his goal kicking was immaculate. He could easily end up at the back if we have the other option of Bussey or Addy to link up with Chizzy? Bussey was very impressive at 6 and I think he could do well, not many defences will be equipped to deal with his power and ability to release a telling pass. No matter who plays H/B though, it will be good to have other options.

Chizzy produced a couple of bits of magic that won us the game, plus worth a thought hes playing with a totally new scrum half

Monkeymagic22
I don’t suppose there is any chance of paying a small transfer fee to have him for the rest of the season?.

Transfer deadline is on Friday and it's still mathematically possible for Batley to be relegated (albeit highly unlikely) so it's probably doubtful. The Phantom Horseman
See Matty Smith has signed for Warrington who are 2nd in SL, that says it all about the shortage of quality half backs at the moment. Well that and Cory Aston being signed by his third SL team (assuming London stay up).

haskey
Rumours are he made too many mistakes in his last outing and Woolford told him he was dropped.

Holmes didn't have a good game but the week before he outplayed Gaskell who has been excellent this season.Frawley was no better than Holmes on an off day.To drop a player after one moderate game does nothing for the players confidence. My daughter supports Huddersfield and she thought Holmes should have kept his place for at least some of the game.
