Just read on Facebook that Danny Kirmond and his wife have taken over the bar at Sharleston Rovers, following his retirement from York City Knights.

Β

Must be right if it's on Facebook πŸ™„

Or Salter if he's signed for next season.

Would rather sign Nikau, didn't think Salter was that impressive this season

Agree, but I was meaning if they are both still on the books next year I'd leave Nikau in the centre and have Salter in the second row. I just hope Nikau is signed up with us for next season.

Would rather have a couple of Scotty type second rowers.

We need some specialist line breaking forwards, lads with some size, bulk and power, not centres having a go.Β

We have now , Jordan Thompson is arguably our best back row forward we've had for many yearsπŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

I think he did.I am sure he played centre for us on dual reg

He did, pre dual reg, he was on loan from Cas. and played about 5 games. He strolled about as if he was too good for York and didn't want to know but that was about 10 years ago and he developed into a good forward at Hull F.C. I reckon he'll have matured a lot by now. I hope so anyway! In Fordy we trust!

Didn't we also have Massey and John Davies at the same time?.

Thompson’s a start, but we need at least two more props (assuming Dixon signs). I’m guessing Porter will sign, so I wonder who else in the second row? Exiting tones (I hope). Β Bit strange that a player as good as Nick Rawsthorne is now playing for a local β€˜Fax RU club in about the 6th or 7th tier. I think he’s had enough of RL.Β

Spot on John, think he was an arrogant 19 year old who didn't like leaving Cas. He was never going to make it as a centre anyway, luckily he found his niche later in the back row.
