Another set of Sanctions

Once again a small section of our"so called" supporters has caused the club to have to find cash to pay a fine for disgraceful behaviour at some games towards the end of last season. The loyal supporting speccies are once again paying for this completely unacceptable behaviour by a few morons.as they give their hard earned cash to help the club in its aim for Super League..NOT to pay fines that are unfortunately thrust upon us.

commented on this after first game, and got pulled to bits by people who said it didnt happen at rovers,a lot seem to be blind to it.

Been happening for years they will be first to moan if we can't afford a good team with having to use money for fines.

Compliance investigations were opened following complaints about an incident in the car park following the game against Widnes Vikings on June 6, and a report of missiles being thrown on to the pitch and endangering match officials and visiting players during the game against Bradford Bulls seven days later.

Maybe but I can honestly say that I have no idea what this story is about.  We have a few ****head 'supporters' but I really must have missed something here.

On a positive note its nice to have a fine under £10K

I don't particularly want to get rid of anybody....

I just don't want us to keep getting fined

So how Robin do you think we should stop it happening if the culprits still get away with it and the club getting fined .A  few idiots getting banned will cost less than getting fined every time they'v had one too many

Never cease to amaze me people same after every incident out comes the outrage with not 1 sensible idea moving forward, lets try a grown up discussion heres my thoughts. The youth around the area will not change no chance, and a semi final us v Widnes with Wembley at stake is a powder keg just remember the 76 semi final and 81 1/4 final nothing has changed. So why did security allow all the Widnes coaches park right outside our exit into the car park and let all fans out at the same time. get rid of the myth its a family game all the widnes coaches could of parked far end couple of security there, no problems. I can tell the club every game there might be problems so im sure they can work it out for themselves, just segregate the crowd inside and outside. job done, no more fines, no one hurt, Verbal abuse never hospitalised anyone

Perhaps if the club were fined 100k though they might do something about it ?

no it does not and as long as its not against the law then there is not a thing you can do about verbal abuse

You've got to understand G it's got nowt to do with the law if someone complains to the RFL their fear of looking like they don't care will always mean they  impose sanctions against the accused club

Does this include the incidents from the Fax game or is something still to come of those?

The sanction was for 2 things - the incident that occurred outside the ground after the Widnes game and reports of an object being thrown onto the pitch during the Bradford game.

That said, as far as I can tell the investigation into the Halifax game started when journalist John Davidson - who seems to specialise in writing anti-Fev stories - picked up on a social media comment by a Fax fan after the game. He wrote a piece about it  on rugbyleaguehub.com and stated "rugbyleaguehub.com Long Reads has contacted the RFL over the allegations and the governing body said it will investigate."

The RFL stated they'd be in touch with the ground safety officer. Remains to be seen if anything more comes of this, it would be hard to sanction a club based solely on social media complaints by fans.
