Dogs v worky Sunday 5th June predictions

Same ref as we had at Workington. Bennett is one of last refs you want against the less strong sides. He is a big leveling influence on the game, the type of ref you want against Leigh or Fev.

Very slow PTBs, lots of stoppages, inconsistency with how far he takes teams back onside, it could be 5m for one, and it could be 15m at the next tackle, for no apparent reason. All of which helps to negate any attacking flair or fitness advantage teams have.

Unless someone at HQ has pointed it out to him, and he changes the way he has historically controlled games, it will be another finely balanced, very tight affair.

Going to be tough after what I saw today and they will be pumped up after todays win against London.

I will be happy with a 20-12 win.

They shouldn't trouble us at home.

Good result today 92.6 last 2 games,  we were really solid in defence all round and played some good stuff but I'd have thought worky would have been a lot tougher to crack today after there last result, but they never really bothered us at all, must have been disheartening for their brave fans, hopefully things continue the same for us next week. We'll done boys good solid performance!

Thought we went out determined not to get into the same scrappy affair as we faced up there. From the first tackle I think Workington knew that. Having said that they did try to keep playing.

And they didn't!

Not a Championship team by any stretch of the imagination, but beaten by a well drilled and organised Dogs team who were virtually error free for 60 minutes

Superb first half. The coach must’ve been buzzing about that.

We didn’t give them an inch, and they rarely got into our 20. Only one penalty given away, forcing goal line dropouts, fantastic line speed, varied last plays, threatening high kicks, 3 tries up hill too.

Second half just relentless too. We look in good shape at the moment.

That Workington team should’ve beat us up there, so full credit to the coach and players for stepping up today.
