Leigh was good for him last season and he will be good for Leigh this

Well there is only one wing spot available barring injuries, and it is good to have competition for it, but watching both Charnley and seeing Briscoe performing  for Leeds in the latter end of the season, I would say Charnley has some catching up to do just to be considered for a start.

Do you think Briscoe plays on the Wing for you guys H? Who are your options there and at centre?

Harry Tyson-Wilson and Jacob Doyle have both left Dewsbury. Doyle is taking time away from the game and Tyson-Wilson has returned to amateur rugby.

Both have lasted just longer with the club than Liz Truss (49 days as PM) and Brian Clough (44 days as Leeds United manager)!

First choice 1-5 will likely be:

Gaz O'Brien

Blake Ferguson

Zak Hardaker

Ricky Leutele

Josh Charnley

Tom Briscoe, Ed Chamberlain, Keenan Brand and Tom Nisbett can all play wing or centre as cover, assuming Nene Macdonald is eventually officially confirmed at Leeds.

Certainly a lot better than the 2017/2021 counterparts!

2017 - Ryan Hampshire, Adam Higson, Ben Crooks, Mitch Brown, Matty Dawson

2021 - Ryan Brierley, Lewis Tierney, Iain Thornley, Junior S'au, Matty Russell

2023 - Gaz O'Brien, Blake Ferguson, Zak Hardaker, Ricky Leutele, Josh Charnley

Are any clubs looking at Corentin le Cam? He's a genuine talent currently without a club and the Dark Side have made their interest in him known before.

I take it you missed the games when Charnley took to the field Rob - I am reluctant to say play in - if I said he was bobbins that would be complimentary to him, of all the player's at Leigh I think he has the biggest improvement of all to make the early starting lineup's, I have never been a great fan of Briscoe but after seeing the games on TV toward the end of last season and taking in consideration the opposition each were playing against (SL v Championship) I would have Briscoe in before Charnley.

He did but hes a better full back than centre

Maybe, I guess it depends on what combination Lam thinks gives the best overall team. Hardaker at fb and Chamberlain at centre, or O'Brien and fb and Hardaker at centre. I wouldn't particularly argue against either selection, and can see both being used over the course of the season.

Briscoe is still a decent player, difficult to tackle! He’s just lost his pace

Personally I don’t think Hardaker will last the full season with you guys, he’s due a controversy.

Hopefully not, but that's a completely different matter At the moment, he's probably the best full back and one of the two best centres at the club. Am sure Lam will have an idea on who is the best option where though.

I think we'll miss Aetkins. Much improved over the course of last season, and pace to burn.

The choices are what i think Lam will go for. Charnley has been at the club longer than Biscoe so will likely get first crack at holding down a wing spot. If he doesn't impress, Briscoe or Brand will likely take his place soon enough. My judgement on Charnley will be made purely this year with a full preseason under his belt and playing in SL.

I think O'brien will get in based on his kicking game, both in play and from the tee. He doesn't have the best injury records though so i'm sure Hardaker will be playing FB when he isn't, with Chamberlain or Briscoe filling in right centre. Personally, I'd like to see Hardaker at right centre inside Ferguson for his defensive work. I'd even be tempted to have him dropping back on last tackle plays instead of Ferguson to essentially give us 2 FB's waiting on kick returns.

The problem youll have with Hardaker next to ferguson is hardaker isnt s great wingers centre, he doesn’t create opportunities for them and isn’t a great passer
